He was suspected of having been strangled with the handbag strap and stabbed behind the head.

After the investigation was completed by Brazilian authorities, Gatti Sr.'s death was ruled a suicide. However, Pat Lynch, a close friend and former manager of the late professional boxer, hired Dr. Michael Baden, a forensic pathologist, who discovered that Gatti Sr. did not die by hanging.

Now, all eyes are on Arturo Gatti Jr.'s mother, Amanda Rodrigues, as her teenage son passes away similarly.

Who broke the news of Arturo Gatti Jr.'s death?

Arturo Gatti's former bodyguard, Chuck Zito, took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos including Gatti Sr. and Jr., announcing the passing of Arturo Gatti Jr.

He wrote in the caption:

"It's with a heavy heart that I have to say,.... R.I.P. to 17-year-old ARTURO GATTI JR. who was found hanging in an apartment in Mexico yesterday. The same way they found his Father dead in an apartment in Brazil 16 years ago. My condolences to Arturo Gatti Seniors - Mom, Sisters, Brothers, and his daughter Sophia."

After the news broke, many found it hard to believe that Gatti Jr. had passed. But his death was confirmed by his former coach, Moe Latif. He took to his Instagram stories to write:

"It is unfortunately not a rumor or a joke. Arturo is gone. I'd appreciate if you stop reaching out at this time."

Gatti Jr. was the only son of Arturo Gatti Sr. and Amanda Rodrigues. A little over a year after he was born, Gatti Sr. passed away.
