Bo Bragason has bagged the role of Zelda in Sony and Nintendo's upcoming live-action film, The Legend of Zelda. Bragason is a 21-year-old English actress who started acting by making an appearance in a French-language film called Hidden Love (L'Amour Caché) in 2007. She was just three years old when she played a minor role in the Italian-Belgian drama film.
Bo Bragason returned to the silver screen in 2016 and has made appearances in a few films and television series. Bragason will play one of the biggest roles in her career so far as Zelda, a video game character from the Japanese video game series created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. In the video game, Zelda is an elf-like Hylian princess who comes from the kingdom of Hyrule.
The announcement of the cast for the film was shared by the official Nintendo account on X. The post reads:
"This is Miyamoto. I am pleased to announce that for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda, Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason-san, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san. I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen."

Nintendo also announced the release date of the film in the same post. The live-action of The Legend of Zelda will be released on May 7, 2027. It will be directed by American director Wes Ball, who is known for his films such as The Maze Runner series, Ruin, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and more. Miyamoto and Avi Arad will also have a hand in producing the film.
