Powerman 5000 are officially preparing for their 2026 North American tour. The group has seen multiple lineup shifts across its career. The group was formed in Boston in 1989. Powerman 5000 started as Spider One's personal experiment.

By the mid-1990s, the group was releasing independent records like True Force and The Blood Splat Rating System. They signed to DreamWorks Records in 1997 and released Mega!! Kung Fu Radio, which was received well by fans and enthusiasts. Some of their most beloved works include Transform, Somewhere on the Other Side of Nowhere, The Noble Rot, and others.

The upcoming 2026 tour will feature Powerman 5000's present lineup, which comprises:

Spider One (Michael Cummings): lead vocals (1991 to present)
DJ Rattan (Rattan Cayabyab): drums (2013 to present)
Murv3 (Murv Douglas): bass (2015 to present)
Taylor Haycraft: rhythm guitar (2019 to present)
Dan Schiz: lead guitar (2022 to present)

Notably, Spider One is the band's founder and only consistent member since Powerman 5000's debut.
