On this year’s Thanksgiving, Jack White headlined the halftime show during the NFL season match between longtime rivals the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers at the former’s home ground, Ford Field, in Detroit, Michigan.

Fellow Detroit legend Eminem joined White on stage. Other artists, including Post Malone and Lil Jon, also performed during the halftime show.

Jack White has been married three times. His current wife is singer, songwriter, and musician Olivia Jean, who also hails from Detroit.

In April 2022, they both got engaged and married at the Masonic Temple, where she first saw him perform as a young girl. It happened during the live performance of Jack White’s Hotel Yorba, as part of his ‘Supply Chain Issues’ tour.

Everything you need to know about Jack White’s third wife

Olivia Jean was born in February 1990 and raised alongside three siblings in the St. Clair Shores suburbs of Detroit. She began playing guitar at the age of 7 and formed her own band called Broken Glass.

Another seven years later, Jean founded the musical group Yazuka Drag Queens with her friend and bassist Stephany and her drummer brother Brent. The trio opened for the local band Genders and won talent shows.

By this time, Olivia Jean had already been a dedicated fan of The White Stripes and had seen them perform live at the Masonic Temple. She also formed a fan page called Olivia’s Peppermint Palace.

Before graduating high school, Jean, 35, became a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who performed in Detroit-based clubs and developed her own homemade CDs. She told The New York Times in July 2022 that music was her “hobby” and she wasn’t aware she could “make money” off it.

The following year, she spoke to Vogue and shared that she briefly attended cosmetology school before returning to music. In 2009, Jack White invited her to record songs with him at his studios in Nashville, Tennessee, after hearing her music. She soon signed with his label, Third Man Records. They began dating in 2014.

At the time, White was playing with his supergroup, The Dead Weather. That same year, Jean collaborated on the band’s music video, I Cut Like a Buffalo, before moving from Detroit to Nashville permanently in 2011.

Since then, Olivia Jean has collaborated with her current husband on the 2011 Dead Weather album The Ghost Who Walks and Wanda Jackson’s The Party Ain’t Over, which was produced by White. As a bassist, she also performed with his second wife, Karen Elson.

Other Jack White music videos in which Olivia Jean appeared include I’m Shakin’ in 2012 and If I Die Tomorrow in 2022. She also contributed to his solo albums Blunderbuss, Lazaretto, Entering Heaven Alive, Fear of the Dawn, and No Name.

As the lead vocalist/guitarist, Olivia Jean also formed an all-female gothic rock band called the Black Belles with fellow Third Man Records signees Shelby Lynn, Ruby Rogers, and Erin Belle.

The group’s debut single, What Can I Do, became a hit and was later used in a horror movie franchise. The Black Belles released an eponymous album in 2011, teamed up with actress Elvira and comedian-host Stephen Colbert, before dissolving the following year.

As a solo artist, Olivia Jean dropped albums such as Bathtub Love Killings, Night Owl, and Raving Ghost. She is also known for the songs Reminisce, Merry Widow, and Trouble, among others.

This year, on Jack White’s 50th birthday, his wife gifted him his first-ever cellphone. He commemorated it with an Instagram post and a lengthy caption, giving a shoutout to Olivia Jean.

White, 50, was previously married to drummer Meg White from 1996 to 2000. She was part of his duo, The White Stripes. Notably, he took her last name and continues to use it to this day. The band performed together on tours and released music until 2011.

Jack’s second wife was English model, singer, and songwriter Karen Elson. They first crossed paths during the filming of the Blue Orchid music video for The White Stripes. Their marriage lasted from 2005 to 2011, when they announced their split via a “divorce party.” It was finalized two years later.

The ex-couple share two children, daughter Scarlett Teresa White and son Henry Lee White.
