American sports reporter and anchor Shae Cornette, 39, was recently named as the successor to Molly Qerim as the host of the ESPN daytime program First Take. Qerim quit last month after a decade.
Following the exclusive report by Front Office Sports, Shae’s husband Jordan Cornette took to X on October 16 to congratulate his wife, while also criticizing people who made it difficult for her to land this gig.
Jordan Cornette, who works in the same field as his wife, is currently a basketball analyst for NBC Sports, according to fightingirish website.
“They never made it easy for her. Beyond wild stuff. And yet she still won. Never played their game. Played hers. True boss behavior. They are lucky. You can’t keep a star down. She is a force of nature and won’t be denied. Beyond proud of my Schway,” Jordan wrote.
His post was accompanied by a Front Office Sports announcement that read:
“EXCLUSIVE: ESPN has landed on a successor for Molly Qerim on First Take. Shae Cornette will be named host alongside Stephen A. Smith, the network confirmed to FOS.”
Jordan and Shae Cornette have been married for six years and share three children, according to firstirish.com.
