Macklemore’s Seattle home was reportedly burglarized over the weekend while his three children were sleeping inside.

According to a report in the USA Today, their nanny was maced in the face. She informed the police that the burglars entered through an unlocked patio door just after midnight on June 7, 2025.

The police report from the Seattle Police Department stated that the masked men demanded jewels, and after helping the nanny to clean the spray out of her eyes, they led her around the house by the arm and stole “thousands of dollars” in clothing, jewelry, watches, and shoes, per Fox News.

The redacted police report featured the unredacted last name Davis, which is the name of the singer’s wife, Tricia Davis, and referred to a homeowner as a “high-profile individual,” as per USA Today.

Macklemore shares three children with his wife, Sloane, Colette, and Hugo. Davis is a former nurse, per a report in Style magazine. They met on MySpace in 2006 and started dating. She continued to stick with him despite her family’s objections over the rapper’s ongoing battle with addiction. She later stepped in as Macklemore’s video producer, stylist, and tour manager.

Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, is a rapper and songwriter popularly known for his unique blend of hip-hop and pop music. The recent alleged incident of burglary at his home in Seattle has drawn attention to his family and his three kids.

Speaking about her husband in a 2013 interview with ABC News, Macklemore’s wife Tricia Davis said:

“When you fall in love with a drug addict, totally can’t-afford-anything guy, and your mom is asking you what the heck you’re doing, I mean, there is a reason why you’re– I knew from the first time I saw him perform I was like, ‘He has that potential.’”

They first met in 2006 on MySpace and got engaged seven years later in 2013. Ever since the beginning of their relationship, Davis stood by his side even when he went into rehab. They decided to walk down the aisle on June 27, 2015.

Davis graduated from Seattle Pacific University and went on to pursue a career in nursing. But after meeting her husband, she became engrossed in his musical career and became his full-time tour manager.

In August 2015, the "Thrift Shop" singer shared in an interview with MTV News how fatherhood inspired him to become sober and take good care of his health. He said:

“It was a wakeup call that I desperately needed. I got sober and I got happy again. Music started to flow and with Tricia, I could really be there for her throughout the pregnancy.”
