Who is Michael DeLano’s wife? What we know about Rhoda star's family and personal life following his death at 84

Michael DeLano was married to Jean DeLano at the time of his death.

DeLano passed away on October 20 at the age of 84 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The announcement was made via an obituary made for the actor, stating:

"Your gentle face and patient smile with sadness we recall, you had a kindly word for each and died beloved by all. The voice is mute and stilled the heart that loved us well and true. Ah, bitter was the trial to part from one as good as you. You are not forgotten loved one, nor will you ever be, as long as life and memory last, we will remember thee."

Michael and Jean shared a twenty-eight-year marriage. However, their bond actually goes back over thirty-eight years. He also had a daughter, Bree, and three grandchildren, Jaxon, Lincoln, and Michael.

Michael DeLano's family and personal life explored

On October 22, a Facebook post was posted via Michael DeLano's official account, where his family mentioned his wife, Jean, writing:

"The greatest love of his life was his beautiful wife, Jean. Together for 38 years and married for 28, their bond was unshakable. Michael adored Jean with all his heart — just slightly more than he loved his cherished family."

The post continued:

"He was a Father, Grandfather, Godfather, and “Pop Pop” to all the children who grew up in his home, often gathered around Sunday pasta and stories from the “Good Ole’ Days” on stage or set."

Both Michael and Jean maintained a private life, away from the spotlight, leaving very little information available to the public.

Michael and Jean also had a godson. While Jean didn't post anything herself, a message was shared on Michael's Facebook page through their godson, who thanked everyone on her behalf. It read:

"Hello all. This is Ashton, Michael & Jean's Godson. Jean wanted to say thank you so much to everyone for the outpouring of kind words and phone calls during this time of mourning. She is so thankful for all of you, as is the DeLano family for the ongoing support."

Michael DeLano was also very fond of his granddaughter Jaxon, regularly uploading her photo and sharing Facebook memories on his feed, calling her his "beautiful granddaughter." However, not much public detail is available about Jaxon.
