Michael Heslin was an actor and writer who was known for his roles in Lioness, The Holiday Proposal Plan, The Influencers, and more. The actor passed away last year on July 2, as shared by his husband Scotty Dynamo. The cause of death was revealed as:
"an unexpected cardiac event after a week long battle in the hospital."
Dynamo further explained the situation in his Instagram tribute to Michael. He wrote:
"On July 2nd, my husband, best friend, and soulmate @mikeheslin passed away from an unexpected cardiac event... Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened... He single-handedly carried me through multiple rounds of cancer. He was the first person everyone would call to share good news with, and he was the perfect person to call if they needed a shoulder to lean on or the best advice."

Michael Heslin's estate is suing MGM Resorts for wrongful death
According to reports from USA Today, Michael Heslin's estate is filing a lawsuit against MGM Resorts for not acting in time when Heslin collapsed at their restaurant. 8NewsNow revealed that Michael was dining at Aria Resort & Casino when he collapsed. It was evident that the actor required emergency medical help, but none of the employees did anything and just "stood by".
The complaint also mentioned that they did not try to perform CPR or get an automated external defibrillator (AED) for Heslin. Additionally, a woman tried to perform CPR on the actor but was "forcefully removed" from the situation by the employees.
Heslin's friends tried to capture the situation on their phones, but were threatened by the employees that they would be arrested if they did not delete the video.
Coming back to the lawsuit, Michael Heslin's estate is asking for more than $15,000 in damages, which is the minimum amount needed to file a civil case in Nevada.
MGM Resorts has responded to the lawsuit via USA Today. They said:
"These claims are not aligned with the facts, and we will respond through the legal process."
Michael Heslin's sudden passing has led his estate to accuse MGM Resorts of negligence during his medical emergency at the Aria Resort & Casino. The lawsuit claims staff failed to provide life-saving aid and even stopped others from helping. While the estate seeks damages, MGM Resorts has denied the allegations and responded by saying that they will settle the lawsuit in court.
