Before Nicki Nicole's relationship with Peso Pluma, she was dating another rapper from Argentina. Although not much is known about her relationship with Mateo Palacios Corazzina a.k.a. Trueno, they dated for two years from 2020 to 2022.

In the following year, she worked with Peso Pluma on a remix of her song Por Las Noches. There were rumors of the two dating, and although they kept it on the down-low, the pair were seen kissing at one of her concerts in November 2023.

The collaboration was the result of Nicki posting one of Pluma's songs on her Instagram story in 2022. She wrote:

"Just thank you for making this song. It’s amazing how you describe everything I feel right now, you are very talented. Keep killing it."

He responded with:

However, in 2024, there were rumors that the two rappers broke up right before Valentine's Day. This came after fans noticed that she unfollowed Peso Pluma on Instagram and removed all of their photos together.

She also took to her Instagram story to write:

Nicole wrote the above statement a day after a video of her then-boyfriend holding hands with another woman at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas went viral. She ultimately confirmed the breakup during an interview with Billboard in March 2024.

Speaking about her personal life to Rolling Stone in 2024, she said:

"I haven't gone through the best time with my personal life going public, but I've realized that it's another thing I can't control... I don't like feeding people parts of my life so they can judge... My music does the talking. But I'm just a human, I'm just a person.
