Ghanaian-American actor and comedian Michael Blackson confirmed that he is no longer engaged to his longtime fiancé Rada Cheang in an October 27 Instagram post. He shared that the split came after he fathered a child with another woman. Rada Cheang is a realtor, internet star, and reality TV personality.

“Good day to all my family, friends and fans. The last few months, God has blessed me, but in blessing me came a lot of pain. Two months after Rada gave birth to little Mikey, a female friend I’ve known for over 5 yrs also gave birth to my son King Kweku Blackson,” Blackson wrote in the caption.

He continued:

“My two boys have brought so much joy to my life, but also caused me to lose my fiancé, Rada. Mikey was born on Tuesday, June 17th 2025, and Kweku was Aug 6 2025. My apologies for waiting so long, but I didn’t know how to do it. My older twin boys, who are now 18, didn’t find out till last night, and my own mom don’t even know.”

Michael Blackson, 52, also apologized to Rada Cheang and hopes that she forgives him for the “pain” he caused her. He mentioned that he would try to be the “best loving father in the world” and was grateful to God for giving him “two more healthy boys.”

He concluded his post by saying that he would only date women who have reached menopause or have had a hysterectomy to “avoid turning into Nick Cannon or Elon Musk.” The post was accompanied by images of him sitting with his ex-fiance and holding their newborn son, as well as shots of his other baby.

All you need to know about Michael Blackson’s ex-fiancé, Rada Cheang

Rada Cheang, who also goes by Rada Darling and Mizz Rada Fly, is a realtor, business consultant, and reality television personality. She appeared on the first season of the VH1 show, Couples Retreat, alongside Michael Blackson in 2021. Later, the now-ex-couple co-hosted the second season of the show.

According to Famous Birthdays, Rada was born on June 14 and is of Cambodian descent. She is also a model, social media influencer, content creator, and private chef, who is popular on her Instagram account @mzradadarling. Cheang has over 322,000 followers on the platform.

Michael Blackson’s former fiancé has also appeared on an episode of The Real alongside Jeannie Mai and Loni Love. During a July 2021 appearance on the radio show The Breakfast Club, the comedian proposed to his longtime girlfriend. However, it remains unclear when they began dating.

During an interview with E! News last year, Blackson stated that having “no expectations” was the key behind his successful courtship with Rada Darling.

“The secret is just having fun, smiling, laughing, enjoying each other when we have those moments together,” the ‘Meet the Blacks’ star stated back then.

In February this year, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together, adding they were “ecstatic” and couldn’t wait to “meet our little miracle.”

Their son, Michael Kyaire Blackson Jr. or Mikey, was born in June. Two months later, Rada Cheang revealed in an early August post that she was having a tough time postpartum and was alone.

"I hide a lot with my smile. I’ll have to admit postpartum is tough… You have good days and bad days. While I thought I had all the support in the world, I find myself walking alone, depending on my little man. It’s just you and I, little one. Family," she said at the time.

Now, in the wake of Michael Blackson’s viral revelation, he has welcomed another son named King Kweku Blackson, with a “female friend,” which has led to the end of his engagement with Rada Darling. This child was born in August 2025. The actor-comedian also has 18-year-old twin boys from a past relationship.

A couple of hours after Michael Blackson’s post was uploaded on Instagram, Rada shared her response on her account with an image of herself with her son.

“I don’t normally respond, but let’s just agree that was the most pathetic post or apology ever. I’m walking in peace, guided by God’s grace. My energy belongs to my 4-month-old son, not to negativity,” she wrote.

Rada also acknowledged that, despite knowing that her ex-fiancé might embarrass her, she stayed with him as she loved him and understood his pain, innocence, and “the child in him.” She took “full accountability” for staying in the “circus too long,” adding that she was never really his type as she is a “real woman.”

Michael Blackson hasn’t responded to Cheang’s post.
