Legendary filmmaker, producer, screenwriter, and actor Rob Reiner was found deceased at his home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, on December 14, 2025. He was 78.Reiner, best known as the director of the 1989 romcom When Harry Met Sally…, had been fatally stabbed alongside his wife, Michele Singer, 68. Their younger son, Nick Reiner, 32, is the suspected killer, according to multiple sources, including PEOPLE.Nick is a screenplay writer. Rob Reiner and Michele Singer also leave behind two other children: son Jake Reiner, who is an actor-writer, and daughter Romy Reiner, a photographer, artist, and writer.In fact, it was Romy who found her parents unresponsive at their residence and called for help on Tuesday afternoon.
