Former television personality and reality star Kate Gosselin’s ex-husband, Jon, and their son Collin are reacting to the ongoing rumors that she is dating Steve Neild.

Recently, Kate shared during a TikTok Q&A session that she has been dating someone for “a little over a year” and is “super, super happy.” However, she didn’t disclose her new beau’s identity.

In the wake of this, both Jon and Collin took to Instagram to make separate posts claiming that Kate Gosselin is romantically involved with her ex-bodyguard, Steve Neild. Neild is now the owner of a management firm, according to his LinkedIn.

Jon, 48, shared a post on Wednesday captioned, “Guess who really ruined the marriage.” It was accompanied by screenshots of several articles linking Kate Gosselin and Steve Neild. He also added on his IG Stories, “I told you all. No one believed me - guess I was right!!!!”

Meanwhile, Collin shared lengthy Instagram Stories where he claimed:

"What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room! Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance."

Kate Gosselin, 50, hasn’t responded to her ex-husband and son’s accusations. Earlier, Page Six had exclusively reported that Kate and Steve are dating.

In 2008, Steve Neild joined Kate Gosselin as her personal security and also the family’s bodyguard. However, in 2009, when Kate and her husband Jon were going through a divorce, rumors surfaced that she was having an affair with Neild.

Back then, she denied the accusations and called the rumors “disgusting, unthinkable, and unfathomable,” as per People Magazine. She also added being “horrified” by the speculations about her personal life.

Now, 16 years later, Kate Gosselin confirmed during a September 22 Q&A session on TikTok that she was “actually, finally” dating somebody for the “past year,” approximately 14 to 15 months, and was happy. While she kept the identity a secret, she revealed to her 250,000 followers that "it's somebody that I've known for a really long time."

"He doesn't really want to be on TikToks. Can't blame him really, I guess, but you perhaps will catch a peep of him, here and there, once in a while, going forward," Gosselin added.

While rumors are that she is dating Steve Neild, it is noteworthy that he is no longer her bodyguard. Instead, according to his LinkedIn, he has been the owner of Prudent Risk Management International LLC since July 2020 and is based in Rockville, Maryland.

Before that, from 2003 and 2020, he was the owner of Prudent Associates LLC and also served as a security or safety consultant for Viacom between 2013 and 2019.

An insider source recently told Page Six that Kate Gosselin was reportedly living together with Steve Neild, and the rumored pair was “serious” and had “wedding plans.”

“There’s no doubt that Kate is crazy about him … things are serious, they have discussed wedding plans and moving on to the next stage,” the insider added.

The couple has been photographed together over the years. Neild, according to Page Six, was previously married to a woman named Gina and got divorced. He has two children from that marriage.

How long were Jon and Kate Gosselin married?

According to People Magazine, Jon and Kate Gosselin tied the knot in 1999 and were married for a decade. They have eight children, twins Cara and Mady, 24, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah, 21.

The couple rose to fame in 2007 with their TLC reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8, which ended after their divorce in June 2009. Later, it was repackaged as Kate Plus 8 and ran between 2010 and 2017. Gosselin also appeared in the 2019 spin-off, Kate Plus Date. She is now a registered nurse in North Carolina.

Following her recent revelation about a new man in her life, her son Collin accused her mother of infidelity and blamed her for the divorce from her father.

Collin added he wasn’t “big on the drama” and was “very busy” with his career. However, he felt “very strongly on the matter of cheating and then blaming someone else for your own actions.”

“Everyone says my dad and I are hung up on my mom. We are not. We have suffered the damage of a narcissist and cried together… We won’t act reformed when we still feel pain from our past… I love you, Dad,” he ended.

In 2009, Jon and Kate had a contentious divorce proceeding and custody battle. Their divorce was finalized in December of that year, and she was granted the primary custody of their kids and the ownership of their Pennsylvania home.

Over the years, the former couple has shared a difficult relationship and often got into verbal disputes in public, where authorities had to get involved. People Magazine has reported that Kate is estranged from a few of her children, including Collin.
