Former basketball player turned influencer Austin McBroom has shared the latest update on Catherine Paiz’s wedding. In a recent livestream, the 33-year-old internet personality shared that his wedding invitation had been revoked due to what he said about Catherine’s new love interest.

“I don f*cked up. I don f*cked up chat,” he repeated. “I did. I did. I admit it. I got my wedding invitation revoked, damn! I guess in my last stream, I said some things, not some things, I said one thing that I probably shouldn't have said, or maybe I could have said in a different way. But I promise you that I did not have bad intentions. If you guys really watched my full stream, I really was showing my love and I really was praising the both of them, Catherine and Igor, genuinely.”

In his last stream talking about Catherine and Igor's wedding, Austin McBroom insinuated that the only reason Igor was getting married to Catherine was because the former needed American citizenship since he was “not from here.”

“As you guys are aware, I think it needed to happen sooner than later because he’s obviously not from here. So in order for him to stay, that had to have happened.”

More details on Austin McBroom’s reaction to Catherine Paiz and Igor Ten

On Monday, September 1, 2025, Catherine Paiz announced her engagement to Igor Ten, nearly two years after her divorce from Austin McBroom.

“So glad I turned the page… September is the month I walk down the aisle to spend forever with you,” she wrote on Instagram.

Following Catherine’s announcement, Austin McBroom began a livestream, announcing that he was also invited to the wedding and plans to attend.

“Some of you may think it's weird, but she did invite me to the wedding. She said the kids want me to go, so she extended the invite to me, which I appreciate… As of right now, I'll be there. She'll have my support, and I wish them the best of luck, and I'm very happy for them. I feel like I have no reason not to go. If my kids want me to be there, I'm obviously going to support.”

Austin admitted that he would feel emotional and maybe cry. He wished her well, describing her as his friend.

“I might cry. I might f------ cry… Imagine being with someone for 10 years and then seeing them get remarried and being their happiest than they've ever been. That is a big f------ moment. Regardless of what happened in her and I's relationship, like when it comes to us co-parenting and being friends, like, obviously, I want the best for her.”

Austin McBroom shares three kids, Elle, Alaïa, and Steel, with Catherine. They got married in 2017 and announced their divorce in 2024.
