Paul Thomas Anderson's freshly released film, One Battle After Another, made a total global collection of an impressive $101,651,000, as recorded by The Numbers. Interestingly, this is the first feature in the helmer's filmography to have entered the $100 million club.
This 2025 film boasts a star cast of actors, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Chase Infiniti, and many others. It follows the plot of how a burnt-out rebel finds his daughter to be abducted as his past resurfaces in front of his eyes.

Bob is a washed-up revolutionary who lives in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his spirited and self-reliant daughter, Willa. When his evil nemesis resurfaces and Willa goes missing, the former radical scrambles to find her as both father and daughter battle the consequences of their pasts.

Ever since its release on September 26, 2025, One Battle After Another has received both critical and commercial success. This is the tenth film of director Paul Thomas Anderson and the first one to hit the $100 million mark in its box office numbers.
It made a total worldwide collection of a whopping $101,651,000. As per The Numbers, the film has garnered $58,900,000 in its international collection and $42,751,000 in its domestic collection.
The BAFTA-winning filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson is regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers in the industry. His films have received nominations at the Academy and the Golden Globes as well. But with One Battle After Another, he has received commercial success like none before.
The only film that is close to that number is the 2007 period drama, There Will Be Blood. It had garnered a worldwide collection of $76,181,545, as recorded by Box Office Mojo. Hence, this Daniel Day-Lewis starrer ranks as the second most successful film by the director yet, in a commercial sense.
In its third, we have Phantom Thread (2017), which made a global collection of $52,204,454. After that, we have Boogie Nights (1997) and the Tom Cruise starrer Magnolia (1999), whose collections range in the $40,000 bracket, garnering a collection of $43,117,303 and $48,451,803, respectively.
The 2021 film Licorice Pizza made a collection of $33,276,075. And after this coming-of-age film, we have The Master (2012), which is considered to be the director's most exceptional work. It collected up to $28,689,359. And then comes the Adam Sandler starrer Punch-Drunk Love (2002), which garnered $24,665,649.
And lastly, we have the 2014 Joaquin Phoenix starrer Inherent Vice, which accumulated a total of $14,810,975. And lastly, we have Paul Thomas Anderson's debut feature film of 1996, Hard Eight, which made a total of $224,126.
