Kodak Black recently took to a social media livestream to deny the rumours that he is a regular meth user. The singer addressed the issue in response to a question by a fan, stating:
"What you mean, like if I must be off it or I must not be on it? What you trying to say, whoever the f**k this is? I don’t be on f**king meth… I tried it though…Everybody be on that. It’s nothing, every drug, you feel me? That’s why I had said that. Y’all motherf****ers just take sh*t and not even know where the sh*t came from or what’s been in it, you feel me?"
He continued:
"That’s messed up for real. Yeah, that’s messed up for real…Why y’all drinking lean? ’Cause everyone is doing it. I don’t be on f***king meth… I tried it though… everybody be on meth… y’all really just want to have something against me."
The singer's address of the issue comes after many expressed concerns for him over the years, including Joe Budden in 2023, who did so in response to an interview Black had with N.O.R.E on his Drink Champs podcast, where he appeared to be under the influence of a substance and erratic in his behaviour:
"Kodak Black looked like pure shit on Drink Champs. And he looked like shit when he was wiggling around on the floor, talking to himself in the dark when his man was taping him … didn't look the greatest when he dodged that bullet from two feet away that we all watched...I've been concerned about him for the last year."
Other people who have expressed concern for Kodak Black include Ray J, various netizens, and fans of the singer online. Black previously confessed he wasn't sober back in November 2024 in response to an Instagram user's question:
“B***h, I ain’t sober. I look sober? I’m never sober, b***h. For what? For what? Look at this money. Look at all this cash. Sober for what? I’m too young to die sober.”
