Four General Hospital stories that need to wrap by the end of the year

If there's anything that soaps and General Hospital do well throughout the year, it's drag on stories forever. Now that this year is coming to a close, we can think of three things that need to be wrapped up with a nice little Christmas bow before 2026 begins.

Who shot Drew?

In January, we predicted that 'Who Shot Drew?' was coming in 2025. We just didn't think it would take until September, and we still wouldn't know who shot him more than three months later. The suspects are still plentiful, considering how many characters don't have an airtight alibi and do still want Drew (Cameron Mathison) dead. (One would think a shooting might have softened Drew, but nope.)

As of this week, Curtis (Donnell Turner) becomes a prime police suspect while Portia (Brook Kerr) remains a secret attorney suspect that police have not yet looked at. And then we have Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael (Rory Gibson). Willow is set to stand trial for the crime and marry the victim, while Michael is romancing his call girl fake alibi.

Anyone could have done it, but we really want to know who already. We'd also really like them to do it again because Drew has still not faced any consequences for his actions. He didn't even come out of this paralyzed, like a proper soap shooting victim. We demand a do-over, just as soon as this first mystery is solved.

Britt's big General Hospital secret

So, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is alive and well, but she has yet to tell Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) how this is so and who she has really been working for over the last two years. We know Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is one of her bosses, but who is Sidwell's mystery associate with the initial "C" who keeps supplying Britt with her drugs?

Will she finally cave and tell Jason all? Will this revelation lead us to learning just how Nathan (Ryan Paevy) is also alive and where he has been for the last seven years? The resurrection of Liesl Obrecht's (Kathleen Gati) children certainly needs an explanation by the end of this year.

Michael and Willow's custody battle

This is a fight that has been going on since last year's Quartermaine Christmas party and it's getting old. The custody hearing was last May, and we still have not had the visitation hearing. Meanwhile, Willow still seems to think marrying Drew is the solution to getting her kids back altogether.

It's time for Michael and Willow's battle to end one way or another. Maybe this could lead to the reveal that Willow is the one who stalked Daisy and ran Sasha out of town with Michael's other child.

Joss' spy games

Okay, General Hospital, the 2025 experiment of turning Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) into a WSB agent needs to come to a close. It didn't work. It's sillier now than it was when Jack (Chris McKenna) first proposed the idea, and Joss just looks like a child playing super spy whenever she holds a gun. Sometimes, GH has to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em, and it's time to fold on this story.
