On General Hospital, Yuri is a security guard and butler at the Quartermaine mansion who is in a relationship with Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James).
Yuri has made a few brief appearances on General Hospital in 2025, most recently in July. Last week, his portrayer, Cyrus Hobbi, marked his return to Instagram by sharing a recent commercial that coincides with the beginning of the National Football League season.
General Hospital's Yuri played football in high school and college

Hobbi, a football player in high school and college, appeared in a commercial for Nationwide Insurance with quarterback legend Peyton Manning and star running back Saquon Barkley from the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
In the commercial, Barkley calls himself “StayCalm” Barkley, a wordplay on his first name, and practices calmness and zen in a series of stressful situations during practice. Hobbi plays a rookie on the team, carrying a playbook and telling Barkley he is in a panic because he doesn’t think he can remember all the plays. Barkley tells him, “Relax, rook. When things get intense, we get incense,” then they sit on the field with another player and burn incense.
Hobby’s General Hospital onscreen girlfriend, Cassandra James, “liked” the post. Several fans complimented Hobbi on the ad. The Instagram user faiteliha said, “Rookie stole the show.” The user extremeabe added, “I thoroughly enjoyed this commercial when it came out. Welcome back to IG.”
Hobbi also marked his return to social media by posting a brief clip of his most recent episode of General Hospital. He showed a scene of Yuri with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) in the Quartermaine mansion, with Martin asking Yuri if Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) gets a lot of visitors.
Hobbi captioned the post, “Yuri. Is. Drama. @generalhospitalabc.”
Numerous fans applauded the return of Yuri to their screens. The Instagram user nancyjay234 said, “So wonderful to see you on camera today, and perhaps you handsome guys will unravel a deeply juicy Quartermaine mystery soon.” The user ek.3914 said, “Yuri is the best...& don't be fooled into telling Martin anything!”
Hobbi graduated from the University of Southern California in 2017. He played as an offensive lineman for the football team. He also studied theater and drama and earned a Master’s degree in Communications Management.
As a football player, he was a backup offensive lineman for USC, a perennial college football power. He appeared in more than a dozen games for the Trojans, starting once at rival Stanford.
He graduated high school in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he earned All-American honors his senior year from several publications. He helped his high school team win a state championship as a senior in 2010.
