On General Hospital, Marco Rios has been walking a fine line between good and evil lately. He is helping his father, Jenz Sidwell, in his battle with Sonny Corinthos while being a good and helpful lawyer to his clients. He has invited his boyfriend, Dr. Lucas Jones, to live with him and Sidwell in the Wyndemere castle.

Offscreen, Marco’s portrayer, Adrian Anchondo, has a real-life happy occasion to celebrate. The GH star celebrated the birthday of his dog, Mochi, this week.

Mochi turned 11, and Anchondo shared that with his Instagram followers on November 12th. The General Hospital star captioned the post, “Happy 11th Birthday to the boy who has kept me smiling even through the hardest parts. I love you so much, Mochi.” He added a music clip to the post from the Kelly Clarkson hit “My Life Would Suck Without You.”

In the post, he shared several pictures and videos of himself with his beloved pup, including an older one of Mochi as a younger puppy.

Several General Hospital co-stars “Liked” the post, including Rory Gibson (Michael Corinthos), Nazneen Contractor (Justine Turner), and TV sister Jacqueline Grace Lopez (Blaze). Numerous fans wished Mochi a happy birthday, and several followers who are clearly friends of Anchondo shared personal memories with him and the pooch while wishing Mochi a happy birthday.

Anchondo regularly shares pictures of Mochi on his Instagram. One of his three “pinned” posts on his grid is a picture of them in 2020 during the early days of the pandemic. He said they had been separated for a month.

Anchondo has been playing Marco on General Hospital since March 2025 and has been on contract since May. Some of his biggest stories have been playing the death of Marco’s mother, Natalia (Eva LaRue), rescuing Kristina (Kate Mansi) from a burning Charlie’s Pub, and getting kidnapped by Sonny.

In July, he shared some clips of scenes from the show and captioned the post, in part, “32 of my episodes have aired already, and there’s so much that has happened! Romance, secrets, mama drama, firefighting, overdoses, grieving, mystery, and mobsters all in one condensed post to feed your soap opera fix. Thanks for your love and support.”

Also in July, he shared a lot of details about his background on Maurice Benard’s State of Mind interview series. He said that his mother gave birth to him when she was 18 years old and eventually abandoned him, leaving him to be raised by his grandparents. He later moved to New York and reunited with his mother and brother.
