What happened on General Hospital

At his WSB office, a distressed Brennan was on the phone yelling at someone to get into the Five Poppies to get Josslyn and Vaughn, who he feared might be dead already. He’d apparently had someone holding Colette and instructed them to keep the pressure on her until she gave up the needed information.
Next, Brennan was yelling at someone else on the phone about needing to speak with a prisoner. Shortly thereafter, Brennan was on a video call with Valentin, who was still imprisoned at Steinmauer. Brennan told Valentin he looked good, and Valentin said he ran the place and reminded him that he was nothing if not adaptable.
After a few moments of pointed pleasantries, Brennan asked what Valentin knew about double-agent Colette Moreau. Valentin stalled on admitting he knew her until Brennan informed him that she was the one who independently decided to take a shot at him and try to kill him in Prague in front of his daughter. After that, Valentin admitted to having some dealings with her when she was with the Directorate-General for External Security back in 2015-2016, which meant she’d been a double-agent for quite some time. He told Brennan she was working for Cesar Faison.
Brennan wanted more current intel since he believed Faison had been dead for a while. Valentin seemed to cast doubt on whether or not Faison was actually dead, but Brennan said his brain was in a jar. “That may be, but his organization lives on”, said Valentin. When Brennan asked who was running Faison’s operations, Valentin said he would need significant concessions from him before parting with that information.
Valentin wanted to be transferred to an American supermax prison. Brennan said he didn’t have the power to do that, but there were other, more realistic ways he could help him. Valentin said he wanted to see Charlotte in person and, if Brennan could do that, he would give him the information he wanted.
At the Five Poppies Resort, Pascal told Josslyn and Vaughn that his superiors considered them useful, healthy test subjects. Pascal said Professor Dalton’s cold fusion work was having problems with radiation leakage, but with their brand new casing and Joss and Vaughn’s help, they would be able to see if it kept radiation at acceptable levels.
He went on to tell them that Dalton was still deep in animal testing, and the preliminary results were promising, so maybe they’d be fine. Vaughn reminded him that testing on them would violate the Geneva Convention, which would elevate his actions to war crimes, but Pascal was unfazed. A messenger came to let Pascal know they had found Hector’s, the assassin's, body, but there was no sign of John Moore.
The messenger left not long after Pascal, leaving only one of the henchmen with Joss and Vaughn, who did some fast talking to try to convince him to let them go. It seemed as if they might succeed, but the other guy came back.
Meanwhile, Jason opened the door to the lab to find Britt, who Pascal had put an ankle monitor on, set to explode if she left. As Jason was trying to figure out how to diffuse the ankle monitor, Britt nervously went on about him being right because she was in over her head there. She said she was there for research and not murder, and that Pascal was supposed to answer to her, but he was on a power trip and had completely lost it.
After burying the lead, she finally spat out that Josslyn was there and in serious trouble. She nervously rambled on about Joss being a WSB agent, which, of course, was news to Jason. He asked urgently where Joss was and how he could get to her. Britt gave him the key card to the room, but was oddly surprised when he immediately left to find Josslyn before freeing her.
While Britt waited, Pascal showed up. He told her the sight was compromised, so they would be moving to a new location, but she was not going to go with it. Pascal said, thanks to Britt’s disruptive behavior, he was able to convince “him” she was more trouble than she was worth. He then set her ankle monitor to blow her to “tiny pieces” in one hour.
Jason busted through the door of the captivity room and shot one of the henchmen, but had a hard time fighting off the other one. Joss spotted a knife coming out of the dead henchman’s pocket and told Vaughn to grab it.
Dante and Chase met with Anna in her office at the PCPD. She said Mac would be heading up the investigation into Judge Heran, and she would be handling Drew’s shooting. Chase wondered if the two could be connected. Despite their conflicts of interest, Dante and Chase said they’d be fine to work the case.
They worked on a timeline of events leading to the shooting, reviewed the facts they had, and discussed persons of interest (P.O.I). When he said he hadn’t been able to question Michael yet, Anna said it meant Michael must be avoiding him. When they moved on to look at Willow as a P.O.I., Chase seemed bothered. Dante let them know Alexis didn’t want to answer any questions without an attorney present. He said she was just acting like a lawyer, but also felt she was hiding something.
When it came to Tracy, Anna said she didn’t think she shot Drew, but could see her covering for the person who did. So far, they have Nina, Michael, Willow, and Alexis listed as potential suspects. Anna said their priority right now was Alexis and Michael, whom they needed to bring in for questioning. Elizabeth called to inform Anna that Drew was waking up.
At the hospital, Alexis and Willow were making calls to try to find Scout, who had gone missing from camp. Willow found out that Scout had left after one of her friends at camp told her about Drew getting hurt. Charlotte (now Bluesy Burke) arrived to find her Lulu and told her she did something that might make her mad.
Lulu and Charlotte walked up to let Alexis know that Scout was safe. Scout had gone to Charlotte at Lila’s Kids Camp. She was upset and wanted to leave, but didn’t want to get Danny in trouble again, so Charlotte drove her to the Quartermaines.
After Alexis got the call from Molly about Scout, she said “restraining order be damned” and left with Willow to the Quartermaine stables to get her. Afterward, Charlotte told Lulu she wasn’t sorry for taking Scout. She felt bad that everyone was worried, but understood what it was like to be scared like Scout and thought it was more important to take her somewhere she felt safe instead of following the rules.
Lulu sat down to talk with Charlotte about the importance of thinking things through and the potential consequences of actions. Acknowledging that they were still getting used to being mother and daughter again, she said she wasn’t trying to smother her, but Charlotte was a teenager and needed boundaries. When Charlotte said her father treated her like an equal when they were on the run, Lulu said that may have been necessary, but not exactly a good thing.
Lulu told Charlotte she had to be ready to take care of herself if something happened to Valentin, and she was in a position of having to make bigger decisions than someone her age should have been. Charlotte said her father loved and respected her enough to trust her judgment, but Lulu tried to get her to understand she didn’t have to be in that position of making big decisions on her own anymore because she had people to rely on.
Charlotte was compliant but didn’t really seem pleased. Lulu said she was grounded for a month and took her car keys away. She could see the Spencer in Charlotte and let her know she was proud of her, but wanted her to learn to “look before you leap”, otherwise she could land badly and get hurt. When Charlotte said it was her life and her mistakes to make, though, Lulu told her not quite yet and gave her a big hug.
At the Davis house, Kristina and Molly were talking about finding a loophole around Drew’s restraining order. Molly commented that her dad was a genius when it came to family law, and she wished he’d return her calls. Cody called again to let her know she needed to get the Quartermaine stables.
A very nervous Ava arrived with Ric’s phone. She said he’d had 48 missed calls and 97 texts. Both she and Kristina were surprised that many people wanted to talk to Ric. They easily brainstormed ways to handle his professional life, but Ava thought handling his personal life would be trickier. Kristina felt he didn’t have any friends, and it would only be Molly and Elizabeth who missed him.
When Kristina said they needed to figure out how to unlock his phone, Ava said it was time for another dose of sleeping pills. Off camera, the two went down to the basement to sedate Ric and use his finger to unlock his phone. Once back in the living room, Kristina changed the password on his phone to “666666”.
In a light bulb moment, Ava said they could send emails out from Ric to say that he went on one of those expensive retreats and was doing a “digital detox”. They continued to work on the emails from Ric when Alexis arrived from seeing Scout. Alexis said Willow was also going to be a problem because she wasn’t going to want to postpone her custody hearing and, therefore, would be hounding Ric.
After her call from Cody to get to the Quartermaine stables, Molly arrived to find he was watching Scout. Scout explained how she got there and wanted to know if her dad was okay. Molly let her know that he was in the hospital, but they were taking really good care of him there. While Molly made calls to let everyone know Scout was safe, Cody took Scout to feed Comet.
When Molly and Cody sat to talk with Scout, she’d said she asked Charlotte to drop her off at the stables because she knew she wasn’t supposed to go to the house, but didn’t really know why. She asked if Danny was mad at her, and that’s why she couldn’t see him. Molly tried to explain the restraining order in the nicest, most basic way possible. Scout didn’t understand why her dad would think it would be best for her not to see everyone. Cody said sometimes grown-ups make mistakes too, and her daddy made one, but maybe he’d realize he was wrong.
When Alexis and Willow arrived from the hospital, Scout ran to hug her grandma. Scout wanted to know if her dad was going to be okay and when he was going to come home. Alexis told her not for a bit, but she had her covered. When Willow let Scout know she’d be going to stay with her at Elizabeth’s for a while, Scout said she wanted to stay with her grandma. Alexis tried to comfort her by saying she’d have fun with Willow and they’d video chat every day.
After the others left, Molly thanked Cody for all of his help and for how good he was with Scout. He asked if she’d pick up if he called again. She said it probably wasn’t a good idea to call her and wondered how he could be so good with Scout, but thought it was a good idea to take money to seduce Ava. She said it was best for her to just walk away. Before she left, she told him she’d help him in the case of any emergency, but otherwise, they should go their separate ways.
