General Hospital's Drew Cain may have really done it this time. In his deranged attempt to throw the custody battle Willow's way by emotionally tormenting a child, he just might have lost her — and him — everything.

Even Ric was horrified

When something is too low for Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), then you know it's low. This is the man who is currently blackmailing the mother of his own child, forcing her to extort millions from a toddler's trust fund just to pay him and Ava (Maura West) off. We're not exactly talking about a man with scruples here.

When he realized that Drew (Cameron Mathison) loudly pronounced that Michael (Rory Gibson) didn't want Wiley and Amelia anymore when he spotted Wiley (Viron Weaver) on a hospital bench, he asked Drew why he needed to use a child to do his dirty work. Drew feigned guilt, but Ric wasn't buying it.

Some surprising fireworks are set to go off at the custody hearing later this week. Will Ric throw his own case and admit to the court what Drew did, proving he doesn't belong anywhere near Willow's (Katelyn MacMullen) children, or will it be someone else who gets the job done?

A General Hospital full circle moment

Perhaps Ric's ex-wife Nina (Cynthia Watros) will finally cave and do what she knows is right. She was just as horrified as Ric when she heard from Michael that Drew said what he did. She was further horrified when she saw Willow blindly take Drew's side against her own son. She was sure Wiley had to be wrong and Drew was the only one telling the truth.

Nina could very well have the realization she had five years ago about her other daughter. Remember when she was all set to testify on Nelle's (Chloe Lanier) behalf in her custody fight against Michael without even knowing that she was Nelle's mother. Nina always had an affinity for Nelle and was all set to testify on her behalf, but at the last minute, she saw how selfish Nelle was and realized that Wiley was better off with Michael.

Did that moment with Drew tell Nina that Willow is just as unfit a mother at this moment in time as her other daughter was? She could surprise everyone and get up on the stand on Willow's behalf, but then end up saying that Michael deserves custody until Willow breaks things off with Drew and gets the psychological help that she needs?

That would be a full-circle moment indeed, as well as growth for the character that could change relationships in Port Charles for years to come.
