General Hospital fans have missed seeing Jon Lindstrom appear in Port Charles as Dr. Kevin Collins. His absence was especially noticeable when Kevin wasn't at the side of his wife, Laura, for Monica's memorial. However, the good doctor could be popping up on screen as Kevin in the near future!

General Hospital, The Doctor Is In

Lindstrom was spotted in an Instagram photo post by Lydia Look (Selina Wu), which can be seen above, partying with GH cast members following the show's wins at the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmys on Friday night. (Scroll to the second image to see Lindstrom with several GH folks.)

The actor had begun appearing less on GH as Kevin after he started playing the recurring role of Joey on Beyond the Gates, which premiered in February. The two roles are quite opposite, as Kevin is nurturing and supportive, and Joey? Well, we wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't read Looking Out for No. 1!

While it's not common for actors to appear on more than one soap opera at a time (e.g., Wally Kurth is both GH's Ned and Justin on Days of our Lives), we haven't seen Kevin since December 2024.

Kevin's absence could be simply chalked up to availability and story. Once those hurdles are removed, it only makes sense that we'll see him back on screen on GH, given Kevin's ties to Port Charles -- he's a doctor and he's Laura's husband.

General Hospital fans are stuck on Kevin Collins

Perhaps another sign that Lindstrom and GH are still connected is that the show's Instagram account gave the actor a shoutout over the weekend for his birthday.

Whether or not Kevin starts aiding patients at General Hospital remains to be seen. Ironically, the ABC soap opera, owned by ABC parent company Disney, has taken care of Lindstrom. The actor showed on social media that he's sporting an adhesive bandage on his forehead, and it's not just any kind of bandage! The adhesive strip has images of Mickey Mouse, the popular cartoon character who is synonymous with Disney, on it.

"That time I was working in the yard when an unseen, belligerent branch bit me, and this was the only Band-Aid I had," Lindstrom posted. Hmm... "That time?" Does this mean the branch incident with his forehead was recent or not? Perhaps the actor is sending folks a subtle message that he and Disney are still, er, stuck on each other!

Honestly, the actor showing his Disney-themed adhesive strip is the type of subtle message that a thriller/mystery writer might put in a book. Speaking of thriller authors, Lindstrom's second novel, Hollywood Payback, is due out next April. Click here to learn more about Hollywood Payback.
