Former General Hospital star Adam Harrington is working on a new film project.
Harrington, who played FBI Agent John “Jagger” Cates in 2024, has a lead role in a short film called The Climb, which is expected to be released later this year.

The film is directed by Justin Hogan, based on a script by Shawnee Badger and Raul Rosco Guerrero.
Harrington shared the news on his Instagram account on August 9th. Several General Hospital co-stars either “liked” his post or commented. Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) said, “Go climb!!! Sounds perfect for you!!” Harrington replied, “Oy My knees! Loved watching your Family Feud!! Much love to you and yours.”
Lydia Look (Selina Wu) commented, “Love! Go Adam!”
Badger plays Sloan, and Harrington plays her father, Caleb. In the logline for the movie, “A young woman finds a way to keep moving through her grief while on a strenuous hike with her dad.”
Badger is a recent graduate of the California Institute of the Arts. The film also stars Matt Edwards and Aria Goodson as younger versions of the characters, plus Caitlin Duffy as Sloan's mother.
Harrington and Badger have been sharing behind-the-scenes pictures and video of the shoot with them in outdoor locations and in a school setting.
Harrington recently guest-starred on the July 9 episode of the new series Countdown on Amazon Prime.
Harrington took over a character on General Hospital that had been played by Antonio Sabato Jr. from 1992 to 1994. Cates was revealed as the reason Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was presumed dead for more than two years. Jason was working for Cates in secret as an FBI informant while Cates was investigating Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Sonny shot and killed Cates in August, 2024.
The former General Hospital star was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He has appeared on dozens of TV shows, including Parks and Recreation, Bosch, Smallville, Supernatural, and multiple shows in the CSI and NCIS franchises. In an ironic coincidence to his role as Jagger Cates, Harrington appeared in six episodes of the series The Mob Doctor as a federal agent.
He was nominated for a BAFTA Award in 2023 for his voice performance in the video game God of War: Ragnarok. He was nominated for Performer in a Supporting Role.

He was nominated for outstanding lead performance when he starred as a detective in the video game L.A.
