General Hospital fans still think about Dev (Ashton Arbab), the young man that Sonny (Maurice Benard) took under his wing after their dangerous encounter in Turkey. Sadly, although Dev made Port Charles his home, his life ended when a bomb went off at the Floating Rib restaurant. Arbab enjoyed his time on the soap, referring to working on it as having been an honor. But Arbab has been keeping busy and recently announced that one of his biggest projects has wrapped.

Building a film and a family together

General Hospital alum Ashton Arbab gave his fans an update on his newest film, Summer of ‘76. He shared a cast photo on Instagram and wrote, “anddddd…that is a PICTURE WRAP on @summerof76film!!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better team on this project. Each and every single one of you helped the vision truly come to life. I am forever grateful [to] you.” Arbab wrote, directed, and appeared in the film, and continued his thanks with, “To my brothers @mattsato and @francisfaye, thank you for reading the original version of the script and saying let’s go to work. You guys are everything to me. To the entire cast and crew, this film would not be a film without you. When they say it takes a village, it really does. And now we are family. Can’t wait for you to all see the project!!”

He ended his caption with, “This is not the end for @summerof76film, it is just the beginning…See you real soon, let’s rock.” Indiana Massara, who co-stars in the movie, excitedly wrote, “LOVED BEING APART OF THIS!!!!!” to which Arbab replied, “@indiana u were AMAZINGGGGG.” Another of the film’s co-stars, Madison Taylor, commented, “So inspiring to have worked and watched all of you create this beautiful world!! cannot wait to watch and honored to be a part of it!” Arbab eagerly replied to her: “@maddytaylor lucky to have you, Maddy, you were AMAZING!!”
