General Hospital alum Kimberly McCullough has a very special message for Jason and Robin fans

This week, General Hospital fans get to witness the reunion of Jason and Britt, but back in the 1990s, the only person fans wanted Jason with was Robin Scorpio, the girl without a future who fell for the boy without a past. Now, Kimberly McCullough is looking back on that time, thanks to a grateful fan.

McCullough, who played Robin off and on from 1985 until her last appearance in 2021, took to Instagram to chronicle a moment with a longtime General Hospital fan that brought back memories of a time long ago when Robin and Jason (Steve Burton) connected and captured fans' hearts.

"Fan appreciation post!!!" McCullough wrote. "Today, an enthusiastic, sweet GH fan recognized me on the street. It’s been a while, so at first I didn’t know she was talking to me- lol. She said, “Thank you for all that you’ve put out in the world through Robin.

"It was one of the nicest compliments I’ve ever received," she continued. "Made me miss my GH family a whole lot tbh. She said Robin and Jason were her fav. I miss you @1steveburton! It’s funny, so many years later, how I can look at a photo of us when we were babies, and my nostalgic heart is instantly filled with fun memories. Thank you, Bridget, for being a fan, and thank you for saying something. It made my day."

When Jason and Robin first fell in love, Jason was searching for an identity after waking up from a car crash with brain damage and no memory. After losing her first love to AIDS, Robin had recently learned she was HIV positive, and at the time, the prognosis for HIV patients was uncertain.

Robin and Jason developed a strong connection, spending time on the famous footbridge that became known as their bridge. They eventually realized they were not meant to be together forever after Robin broke Jason's trust by revealing that Michael was AJ's son and not Jason's. However, their friendship remained strong through the years.

Oddly enough, Jason now has a close friendship with Robin's mother, Anna (Finola Hughes), and frequently helps her fight the bad guys in 2025. This week, he sets out to find Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) after Anna tells him that he has no choice. However, fans wouldn't complain if Robin and McCullough returned one day, even just for a few brief episodes.
