General Hospital alums Tuc Watkins and Roger Howarth revisit OLTL mischief with Erika Slezak

Longtime soap fans know just how iconic the trio of Erika Slezak, Roger Howarth, and Tuc Watkins was on the now-defunct ABC soap, One Life to Live. Howarth, who famously played Todd Manning, took that character over to General Hospital. Watkins, also an alum of GH, played David Vickers on OLTL. And of course, Slezak embodied Victoria Lord Buchanan for over 40 years. Now with Slezak set to appear on General Hospital in a new role, the beloved actors recently reunited — and shared the fun with fans on social media.

A Clever Throwback

On Instagram, Watkins delighted followers with a playful caption: “That episode when Todd Manning and David Vickers met in Mendora to plan the Llanview City Bank heist and Victoria Lord Buchanan showed up and ruined everything like she always does. At least she brought ice cream. #ErikaSlezak #RogerHowarth #OLTL.”

The post included two photos. In the first, Slezak is seated between Howarth and Watkins on a couch, laughing with a dog stretched out at their feet. In the second, she smiles with Watkins’ children, Catchen and Curtis, while the kids proudly balance a tower of ice cream cartons. It was a reunion filled with warmth, laughter, and a nod to their soap opera past — complete with frozen treats, and General Hospital and soap fans chimed in.

Fans React With Joy

The comments section quickly filled with love from fans and fellow soap stars. Kristen Alderson, also an OLTL alum who brought her character Starr over to General Hospital, wrote, “So awesome! Sending love!💙” while Michael Fairman responded with heart emojis and Mark Lawson, who played Dustin on GH, added a heart as well. @markpompanobeach gushed, “WOW, what a wonderful reunion of 3 OLTL stars. Lovely photos of you with Erika and Roger, and Erika with your kids.”

Some shared memories, while others cracked jokes. @carolinehm625 said, “So cool! I’m going to see your dad’s new yard art this week. I hear he’s named the sailors Ramon Navarro and Xavier Cugat….” @aman0306 couldn’t resist writing, “What a fun, fantastic reunion. I mean, there was ice cream! Why isn’t David wearing his Speedos?!?”

There was also excitement about Slezak’s upcoming General Hospital role. @davidflores7681 wrote, “Love this can’t wait to [see] her on General Hospital!!! All 3 will be both OLTL AND GH!!! Bring back OLTL!” @steve.beecher chimed in, “She’s on GH this week!” while @carlosjharris_writer declared, “Ms. Slezak is legit one of my favorite actresses. The icon! So happy to have her on GH for a short time.”

For many, it was simply a heartwarming trip down memory lane. @emily_sheryn posted, “Aww, I love this! OLTL forever.” @latinasandi said, “Oh, what a joy to see you guys together like this, miss you both like crazy.” @tomdangora demanded, “BRING IT BACK!” while @ivyzumwalt added, “You will always be David Vickers to me.”
