General Hospital Comings and Goings: Jon Lindstrom brings Kevin back to Port Charles

It looks like veteran soap star Jon Lindstrom is heading back from Washington, DC, to bring Kevin Collins home to General Hospital and Port Charles.

GH fans have not seen good guy doc Kevin Collins since the fall of 2024 when he reunited with stepdaughter, Lulu (Alexa Havins), but that's because Lindstrom has been a busy man working on the new CBS soap, Beyond the Gates. That's where the actor has played gambling kingpin Joey Armstrong since March.

Lindstrom has gained quite a following as Joey, so fans hope the actor will be able to play double duty for a while. Since he recurs on GH, he is free to appear on other soaps. Both Wally Kurth (Ned Quartermaine) and the late Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) have taken advantage of that. Kurth also plays Justin Kiriakis on Days of our Lives, while Rogers also played Colin Atkinson on The Young and the Restless.

Laura has been making excuse after excuse for why we have not seen her husband on-screen for over a year. Sometimes, he was home babysitting little Ace. But recently, we learned he was out of the country at a conference when Laura left him a voicemail after she won re-election as Port Charles' mayor.

On the preview for the December 2, 2025, episode, we see Laura (Genie Francis) surprised to open the door to find Kevin there. With Laura now covering up the fact that she found a dead body in the trunk of her car, she is going to need all the support she can get, so having her husband around is a good thing.

Kevin can also conceivably become a part of the Britt and Nathan resurrection story. The last that we saw of Faison's brain in 2018, it was in a jar on Kevin's office desk at GH. We never found out why or what Kevin did with that brain, but it could play a factor in his "final project" and how two of his children have now returned from the dead. Does Kevin have the answers we have all been waiting for?
