General Hospital star Carolyn Hennesy announced a big change of plans recently when she revealed she had been injured, but was light on the details about how she was injured.

General Hospital star sidelined with injury

Hennesy took to X (formerly Twitter) in the early hours of October 28 to tell fans that she had suffered a broken leg.

"Hello all, due to unforeseen circumstances, like a broken leg, my performance at Vibrato on November 5 has been postponed. We’ll git ‘er done, just not on the 5th," she wrote.

Hennesy was referring to a cabaret singing performance at a Los Angeles jazz club called Herb Alpert's Vibrato. Hennesy had publicized the appearance on her X account a few weeks ago, asking fans to buy tickets for her one-woman show.

The General Hospital actress is a multi-talented woman who has made a career out of acting and music for decades. She has performed different versions of her cabaret show for years, much to the delight of fans.

An outpouring of love and good wishes came in from GH fans who hoped Hennesy would heal from her injury quickly.

Will Hennesy's broken leg be written into the storyline when one of Port Charles' various criminals needs a lawyer in a jiffy? Currently, Diane Miller is not involved with any high-profile trials, but with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) as clients, that can change at any time.

Right now, Diane is worried about Willow's (Katelyn MacMullen) lawyer making her regular clients look guilty while she tries to offer reasonable doubt. Diane has yet to learn that her law partner, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), is now Willow's attorney.

Hennesy has played the tough-as-nails, high-powered attorney, Diane, since 2006, so she has reached almost 20 years as a Port Charles player. Recently, she revealed that she'd like to tackle a much softer role one day during a social media "Ask Me Anything" session.

"There's a saying that a snake always gets the best line and best shoes," she said. "And who doesn't want the best shoes? But my dream role would be to play something vulnerable...There's a movie called The Barretts of Wimpole Street...to play Emily Barrett, that's something I would love to do. Anything really tragic and vulnerable would be a dream role for me."
