Ever since Daniel Goddard debuted on General Hospital as the enigmatic Henry Dalton, it’s been clear that the mysterious professor has got something nefarious going on. Dalton’s not only been rumored to be experimenting on higher mammals, but he’s also connected to the villainous Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and is clearly a part of what was going on with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) at the Five Poppies resort in Croatia. In real life, Goddard is very mild-mannered and recently shared a heartfelt, reflective, and deeply inspiring post on social media, asking his fans to take stock of their own lives.

In the Dressing Room, a Moment of Reflection

On Instagram, General Hospital’s Daniel Goddard shared a video with the caption, “Living with gratitude unlocks the path to more…So tell me, what are you grateful for?” In his video, he stated, “So I'm in the dressing room at General Hospital and I'm just sitting here reflecting upon what it means to be grateful. And it takes a while, I think, in life to have gratitude because everyone's just so focused on what they want, where you want to get to, what it is you want, that you lose that moment of recognition for the now.”

He continued by explaining that those moments add up in the present. “It's in the now that you start to realize all the things you have are little moments that added to the possibility of giving you what you have right now.” He explained that in that moment, while making the video, he was very grateful. “I've learned this over the years to be grateful for what you have,” he said, adding, “So when you're grateful, you open yourself up to the possibility of more in the next level of growth, and that's what we're here for. We're here to grow. To grow, [and] become better versions of ourselves.”

He concluded with an important question for his fans: “What are you grateful for?”
