General Hospital's Steve Burton and Michelle Lundstrom just welcomed a new family member

General Hospital’s Steve Burton has had a bit of a rollercoaster ride in real life. In 2022, he filed for divorce from his longtime wife, Sheree Gustin. However, things turned around for him when he started dating recipe creator Michelle Lundstrom. Eventually, he made the fantastic announcement that the two had tied the knot in May 2025. Now, the happy couple has a happy addition to their family, and they shared it with his fans on social media.

General Hospital's Steve Burton's cutest co-star yet

In a joint Instagram post, General Hospital star Steve Burton and Michelle Lundstrom wrote, “Welcome home, Wyatt Burton. Meet the sweetest addition to our family. He’s super new, only 8 weeks old. Seriously, the cutest little fluffy guy. We all love him!!” Along with that was a video montage of the couple and their new pooch. At the beginning, Lundstrom states, “We’re on our way back from New York. Today’s the big day.” What followed was a series of darned cute clips of the family enjoying time with the playful pup. It ended on a still shot of Burton holding the dog, who appeared even tinier because it was nestled in the crook of his hugely muscled arm.

The fans went absolutely gaga over the cute doggie, with @kelllyxnicole commenting, “I never knew I needed to see @1steveburton with a puppy!!!! My heart!!!! Welcome to the family, Wyatt!!!!” The followers all agreed that Wyatt was beyond cute and utterly adorable. Some folks raised a question about whether or not the couple should have adopted a shelter dog, but quite a few fans rushed to their defense and asked that the negativity be dropped and replaced with loving congratulatory comments.

Fans can’t handle Wyatt’s cuteness

The loving responses continued to roll in as another General Hospital fan, @_christinebuttitta_, wrote, “5 kids, a dog and a partridge in a pear tree!! This love story just keeps getting better & better! Congrats on your new addition!” @kell4karen posed a very important question: “Who’s cuter? Wyatt or Steve??” Follower @debraleesnyder identified what kind of dog Wyatt is, writing, “He’s Adorable. I have a Miniature Aussie. Her name is Sami. She is just the Sweetest girl.”

How big do you think he will get?” @ritap1956 replied, “@thehouseshoehostess, A toy Australian Shepherd typically stands up to 14 inches tall at the withers and weighs between 12 and 17 pounds. Her hashtag says toy. So cute!” And @spartan_teacher spoke for many with the comment, “I can't handle the cuteness!! Love it for you guys :)”
