General Hospital's Tabyana Ali takes hilarious driving lessons

On General Hospital, Trina Robinson has overcome many challenges throughout her young life, including helping to save the world from Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaugnessy) diabolical plot. She has dealt with the death of her boyfriend Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and has helped current boyfriend Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) get through a dangerous experimental surgery. But in real life, her portrayer, Tabyana Ali, has more mundane problems and is conquering one of them.

Driven to be wild

On Instagram, Ali shared a video and wrote, “I'm learning how to drive y'all!! Don't worry, we were going 20MPH!! Pray for us!! Thank you to my instructors @alecsfunkyfresh and emotional support @priscilluxe @busybeelatoya. #driving #learning #23 #almostgotit #justwait #teaching #car.” The video was extremely wacky and it looked like a cautionary tale of how not to behave when driving. She seemed to be with friends and possibly an instructor, and stated, “Hey everybody. Alright, so today I'm trying to learn how to drive. This is day 2 of learning.”

At times, the camera was all over the place, which may cause nausea for some viewers. Before getting in the car, she put a stuffed animal-shaped pillow on her seat because the General Hospital star is famously short. There were a lot of distractions in the car, including the person filming telling her to look directly into the camera (through the rearview mirror), thus taking her eyes off the road. We highly recommend against distracted driving, as we saw in the video.

Costar Braedyn Bruner, who plays Emma Scorpio-Drake, responded to the post with, “Go taby, go !!” Makeup artist, Priscilla Castro-Preciado, who looked like she was in the car, responded, “Wish we had a clip of your mom asking, ‘So is everyone at work just sick of you guys?’ ” Many fans loved the fact that she was sitting on a pillow, with @Zl4lovengod commenting, “Relatable! The pillow is a must for us shorties You got this, Taby! Keep going & you'll get that license in no time.” (Here's how Bruner prepared to play Emma.)

However, @jkaredmon had some sensible advice, responding, “Why are you on a pillow? Not needed, adjust your seat properly, be safe.” Another passenger, @alecsfunkyfresh, hilariously commented, “We’ll be mobbing on the freeway in no time, you got this Panchita!!! P.S. I adjusted the seat the highest it goes, but she’s just a Tiny T.”

Some fans, though, cautioned the General Hospital star to be safe on the road, like @valeriehike, who wrote, “Keep your eyes on the road young lady for your passengers, just kidding!!! Looking good girl you got this!.”
