Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) knows that it's do-or-die time at Willow's (Katelyn MacMullen) trial. Now that it's the new year, the prosecution will be presenting its case and Alexis needs to think fast after the debacle that occurred when she put Portia (Brook Kerr) on the stand. Drew (Cameron Mathison) almost revoked her rights to see Scout (Cosette Abinante) during the holidays. He has warned her that if she fails to get Willow acquitted, then she may never see her granddaughter again.

Spoilers say that Alexis comes up with a brand-new strategy. She already has that anonymous note claiming that Michael (Rory Gibson) was outside Drew's house that night, and Tracy (Jane Elliot) has been covering for him. Will she use that note to her advantage or will she give up on Willow and find another way to have access to Scout? Perhaps she will finally decide to sue for custody of the little girl.

Sonny issues a warning

As Michael prepares for another day of Willow on trial, Sonny (Maurice Benard) has a stern warning for his son. Sonny is worried that Michael is hiding something and is relying on a tenuous false alibi. Michael is playing with fire and might cause Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to perjure herself if Alexis decides to put Michael's new girlfriend on the stand.

When Kristina (Kate Mansi) is taken aback, is it because she learns that Michael has indeed been lying this whole time, and her mother is about to go after her brother in court? Michael's brother is also worried about him, but he also has some issues with Chase (Josh Swickard) as he confers with Justine (Nazneen Contractor).

Laura's new assignment

Laura (Genie Francis) hates being under Jenz Sidwell's (Carlo Rota) thumb, but she is going along with Sonny's plan and allowing Sidwell to believe that he now controls her.

Sidwell is set to give Laura new marching orders on Friday, and she won't like what she has to do. Does this have anything to do with those coveted piers that Sidwell just bought? That's what this whole fight has been about for nearly a year.
