Ronnie (Erika Slezak) is about to do one of the hardest things she's ever had to do in her life, but she needs to take some deep breaths before she signs her sister's house away to an awful, awful man. She stands up to compose herself, with Drew (Cameron Mathison) doing his best to persuade her to sign on the dotted line ASAP.

Before Drew and Marty (Michael E. Knight) arrived in the living room, Michael (Rory Gibson) tried talking Ronnie out of selling. He knew her heart wasn't in it. Now, he knows he is right when he sees how torn Ronnie is. Ronnie already told him that she's in over her head, but Michael had no idea what she meant.

Outback to the rescue

Before Drew can say much more, and Michael can ask any questions, Outback comes running in through the terrace doors. The pooch sees the papers and grabs them with his mouth immediately as Drew completely freaks out.

He tries to reason with Outback to give the papers back, but Outback instinctively knows what to do and runs off with them. Drew shouts for someone to stop that dog, but nobody seems to want to. Drew is still using a cane after being shot twice in the back, so he can't go very far.

Ronnie and Michael look at one another in amusement, each displaying a small smile that a dog has been able to thwart a smarmy politician. Maybe a dog is all anyone needs when our government leaders run roughshod over the citizenry.

Outback seems to come in handy and knows just when he is needed. He brought Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) together and is helping things along with Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Cody (Josh Kelly). He even helped rescue poor Ric, who was tied to a gurney with a ball gag in his mouth in Alexis' (Nancy Lee Grahn) basement for a month.
