General Hospital star Carolyn Hennesy shares a new update on her recovery 

General Hospital attorney Diane Miller, played by Carolyn Hennesy, defends her clients even when they don't have a leg to stand on. Fortunately, the actress is on her way to standing back on both her feet, following a bad break she suffered.

General Hospital, attorney, heal thyself

Hennesy shared an update on Instagram stories, letting her many followers know that things were looking up for her! "Second surgery was a SUCCESS!" the actress exclaimed on her social platform. "Thank you for all the love and support. Finally able to go home with my animals.

"Please send Book, Movie, TV recommendations...or Diamonds as I convalesce," she continued.

Delayed courtroom date

There's no word on when Hennesy will next appear on GH or when Diane will be back in court. However, viewers can count on Hennessy giving a savvy performance when she does! Hennesy's Diane is a throwback to sophisticated, smart female characters that you might see in films from the 1940s or 1950s. Think Eve Arden (ask your grandparents, kids).

When Diane shows up either in court or at the Port Charles Police Station, Hennessy brings sass and wit to her scenes as the attorney practically has her clients sprung from the minute she arrives.

Last year, we saw Diane's life beyond the law. She and Tristan Rogers's character, Robert Scorpio, had struck up a relationship. It was filled with humor and hope. Alas, Robert's heart belonged to Holly (Emma Samms), and even though Holly wasn't always on the canvas, Robert's heart ultimately was with hers.

What might cheer up Diane? Well, at least one of Hennesy's social media followers wants her to get back together with Max, played by Derk Cheetwood. "We need Diane back with Max. I didn't like Diane with Robert. He is not good enough for Diane," posted @kmitch172 on X.

Hennesy responded: "That may be the sweetest thing ever said about Diane! XO."

Might Max come back into Diane's life? It's been a "minute," as they say, since Max was last on the show. He took Diane to Las Vegas for New Year's Eve many years ago and hasn't been around regularly since.
