General Hospital star Daniel Goddard, who plays Dr. Henry Dalton, is updating his fans on what's going on in his life, including his storyline, which has started to sizzle this week! The actor is headed out of the country, too, for a very personal journey. "It means so much to me. It really does."Goddard also wanted his followers to know that he was returning home. "I fly to Australia tonight for the funeral," the actor added. Holding up his U.S. passport, which he'll need for international travel, Goddard says, "One of my most proud moments ever was becoming an American citizen [and] this one here ranks up very high with it, [getting] my very first American passport."It means more to me than you can imagine," Goddard offers. "I am so proud of this country. I love this country. I am honored to be a part of this country. Thank you. "It’s getting messy, and what’s up with Laura [Genie Francis] slapping me? What’s up with that? Or slapping Dalton." The actor's referring to a showdown between his character and Laura, Port Charles's mayor, who is none too pleased that Dalton is framing her grandson, Rocco (Finn Carr), for committing crimes in his secret lab that Rocco most certainly did not! The duo's powerful scenes this week climaxed when Laura slapped Dalton for his duplicity! "I mean, my um on The Young and the Restless is now my nemesis on General Hospital," Goddard points out, referring to when Goddard was on Y&R as Cane, and Francis was his mother, Genevieve Atkinson. "And I got slapped! But you know what, I love you, Genie Francis, more than you’ll ever know, and to work with you is an honor and a privilege. "Let me know what you guys think," concluded Goddard.
