"There were so many that at the time you just don’t seem to understand what it is they’re trying to teach you," the actor continued. "But once I became a father and had my own sons, it all started to make sense. Thank you for everything you did for me, Dad. I learned more from you than you ever could have imagined. Rest in peace.
