Sharon Newman, played by Sharon Case, is facing her worst nightmare all over again on The Young and the Restless. Once again, she's faced with losing another child to a vehicular accident. Only in her son Noah's case, it appears not to be an accident!
A case for Noah on The Young and the Restless

Recently, Case spoke to Soap Opera Digest about her character's current storyline in which Nick is fighting for his life. "We’ve got a lot coming up," Case previews about the big story that is, so far, taking place in Los Angeles, where Noah had been living. "It’s gonna be a big storyline. And once it starts, it doesn’t stop. It takes good twists and turns, and the story keeps going."
Right now, Noah is all bandaged up, but watch for the character, now played by Lucas Adams (ex-Tripp, Days of our Lives), to be seen on Tuesday, November 4.
Both Case and Joshua Morrow (Nick), Noah's dad, screentested with Adams, and Case says a truly good one was chosen in the former DAYS star. The actress laments the loss of Rory Gibson, who played the part most recently, but she feels he's doing a great job over on General Hospital as Michael. "Everybody's happy," Case says.
Finding Noah

The actress reveals that top decision-makers came together to give final approval on Adams as Noah. Interestingly, Noah is coming back into his parents' lives just as they've grown closer. At Cane's chateau in France, Nick nearly lost his life after getting into a brawl with Cane's bodyguard. The drama was so intense that Nick and Sharon ended up sharing a kiss, which reminded viewers just how close the two still are with one another.
There are ironic parallels between Cassie's (Camryn Grimes) accident and now, Noah's. Viewers recall that Cassie's untimely death ultimately split Sharon and Nick up as he drifted into an affair with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Might Noah's tragedy bring Nick and Sharon back together? "We've got some powerful stories," Case previews.
