General Hospital star Scarlett Spears takes on an iconic role in Wicked

Is she a good witch or a bad witch? For General Hospital fans, the new little Glinda (or Galinda) in Wicked: For Good is a very good witch indeed. When the latest trailer for the new film dropped on Wednesday morning, it revealed our very own Donna Corinthos, aka Scarlett Spears, in a very big little role.

General Hospital star takes on Glinda

When Wicked: For Good opens in theaters on November 21, just in time for the holiday season, it will feature Scarlett Spears as a younger version of the legendary good witch, Glinda.

Ariana Grande, who stars as a grown-up Glinda in the Hollywood musical based on the Broadway show of the same name, posted a small tribute to Spears after the trailer was released.

"My tiny girl in the bubble, played by the wonderful and talented @miss.scarlett.brielle," she wrote. "Thank you for your beautiful work and for allowing the world to understand our Galinda more deeply than ever before. I adore you so."

Spears chimed in with a response, thanking Grande for such an amazing experience:

"We love you SO much @arianagrande - what an HONOR it is to be part of your world. We love you, endlessly. Thank you for making this little girl's dream come true."

In the trailer, we see the child version of Glinda telling her mother, "I want to be magical. For real."

Scarlett Spears is becoming a star

Spears' management company also shared an Instagram post, announcing Spears' big role, writing:

"We’ve been keeping a WICKED secret!!!!! 🩷🫧✨👑 Introducing Scarlett Spears as Young Glinda ✨ Wicked: Part Two will hit theaters on November 21, 2025."

Spears began playing Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly's (Laura Wright) youngest child, Donna, in 2022, and is a delight every time she is on screen. When she is not in Port Charles, Spears is apparently busy making movies, as evidenced by this surprise role in Wicked.

The little actress is also going to play another iconic role when she stars as a young Dora the Explorer in a live-action version of the popular kids' cartoon series.

General Hospital fans adore the little actress and her antics as Donna, a little girl who always seems to have a smile, while putting smiles on her co-stars' faces. Hopefully, she sticks around Port Charles, in between making movies.
