General Hospital stars decide who should get Monica’s house

When Monica Quartermaine's will is read on General Hospital in the coming days, fans (and the rest of the Quartermaines) will finally learn who inherited Monica's house. You know, the one Alan gave her. In the meantime, GH stars have been musing about who should get the not-so-humble abode.

For years, GH fans have been hearing the words, "It's my house cause Alan gave it to me," but sadly, we won't be hearing those words anymore now that Monica (and legendary actress Leslie Charleson) has passed away. However, we might hear, "It's my house cause Monica gave it to me," for years to come.

Soap Central decided that Tracy (Jane Elliot) should get the house last week, before Tracy even vowed that it would somehow remain Monica's house for as long as she was alive.

There are other Quartermaines who can inherit the house, of course, so those other Qs have weighed in with their thoughts.

GH recently released a hilarious social media video montage of Monica and other Qs pronouncing whose house it was through the years, while always making sure to point out that Alan gave Monica that big ol' house so many years ago.

In between scene snippets, actors added their two cents to the great house inheritance debate.

Both Brook Lynn and Gio, aka Amanda Setton and Giovanni Mazza, think Granny Tracy should get the house.

"Is there a world where she leaves it to Tracy, the matriarch of the Quartermaine family?" Setton asked.

Giovanni Mazza weighed in with, "Once I found out that I'm a Quartermaine...I think maybe me, but Tracy probably deserves it the most."

Wally Kurth, who has played Tracy's son, Ned, on and off for more than 30 years, does not expect his on-screen mom to be the lucky winner.

"Not to Tracy. It won't be me either. I don't know," he said.

While Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio Jones), Laura Wright (Carly Spencer), and Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) all believe that Monica's grandchildren should inherit the house, John J. York (Mac Scorpio) has another outside-the-box idea that we know will never happen.

"Sonny. Everything goes to Sonny. Everything is Sonny's. Every child, every wife..."

Whoever does get Monica's house, we know Tracy will be its greatest protector (which is probably why the house should go to her).
