No matter how hard General Hospital’s Michael (Rory Gibson) tries to tell Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) about Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) misdeeds, his words fall on deaf ears. She insists that Drew is a great guy and is above reproach. However, viewers know that he’s devious, conniving, and self-centered. Things have heated up since a judge awarded Michael full custody of his and Willow’s kids. Michael tries to compromise, but Willow constantly misconstrues what he says as a lie. Katelyn MacMullen took a dive into acting opposite the latest actor to portray Michael.

Rory so talented

Rory Gibson took over the role of General Hospital’s Michael in May and has been winning fans over ever since. He’s also won over castmates like MacMullen, who told Soap Opera Digest, “He’s incredible. He’s so kind and lovely and obviously so talented, it’s crazy.” Gibson took over the part after the damage had been done to Willow and Michael’s marriage when he learned she slept with Drew. Thus, fighting commenced.

She remarked that, as their characters, the two have been yelling at one another ever since he stepped into the role. Fortunately, the actors realized they have chemistry, making their work very fun. She was amazed at the ease with which Gibson took on the part. “It’s crazy how he kind of just stepped right in and was so in it, as if he knew every character already,” she stated. The custody solution

General Hospital’s Katelyn MacMullen explained that Willow had been in a daze after the judge’s decision and hadn’t completely absorbed the reality of the situation. Feeling vulnerable made Willow easy to manipulate. Thus, she’s on board with marrying Drew, and the actress noted that the lawyers had been confirming that marriage to the cad was their only solution to her custody dilemma. “Get married and show a different picture to the judge of what life could be like for the kids,” she explained, was Willow’s current mantra.

MacMullen noted that Willow doesn’t see all the misdeeds that Drew does. She doesn’t know what many of the characters, and the audience, know about his relentless schemes. The actress explained that Willow believed that being honest with Michael about things was the way to go. But when she informed him that she accepted Drew’s marriage proposal, any chance of compromise went out the window. That was especially true because Michael denied preventing her from visiting him at the German clinic.

“She doesn’t know that Michael is kind of protecting her, in a sense, or protecting the kids from all this stuff [going on with Drew],” she explained. But, she praised her co-star Gibson, proclaiming him “fun to work with.” At some point, Willow’s going to have to wake up and realize what a dirtbag Drew really is, and that’s going to be a rude awakening for her.
