Missing Morgan: Is Bryan Craig hinting at another General Hospital return?

Morgan Corinthos has been a hot topic of conversation on General Hospital lately. Josslyn once again blamed Sonny for Morgan's death, and Tracy did the same the next day during her chat with Gio. Now, it looks like Morgan is on actor Bryan Craig's mind, according to his Instagram stories.

Another General Hospital stint for Bryan Craig

Craig, who won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2017 for playing Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly's (Laura Wright) youngest son, took to Instagram on the morning of July 7 with a bit of a tease.

In his stories, Craig posted a photo of what appeared to be a phone reminder. All it said was, "Today at 6:47 am. Morgan Corinthos." He then added, "IYKYK."

Screenshots of the post quickly made it onto X (formerly Twitter), with fans hoping that means Morgan is finally returning to General Hospital.

The last time we saw Morgan...

GH fans got a treat when Craig returned for a very special episode last year. Sonny blamed himself for Kristina's (Kate Mansi) fall out the window that resulted in the death of the baby she was carrying for Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ (Tajh Bellow). He stood up on the hospital roof and contemplated jumping until Morgan's spirit appeared and talked Sonny out of making a fatal mistake.

That was Craig's second return since leaving the role of Morgan behind in 2016. Two years later, Morgan appeared in Ava's (Maura West) nightmarish dream she had when undergoing plastic surgery to fix her severely burned face.

Morgan is the only biological son that Sonny and Carly shared and his death nearly spelled the end of their marriage. Carly blamed Sonny for what happened, thinking Morgan was the victim of a mob hit meant for Sonny. Despite later learning that the car bomb was meant for Julian Jerome (William deVry) and planted by his sister, Olivia, some Port Charles residents are going with the false narrative that the bomb was meant for Sonny.

Earlier this year, after Michael was burned in the fire at Sonny's penthouse, we saw the camera zoom in on a framed photo of Michael and Morgan, which made fans think Sonny's late son would return at some point this year.

If Craig's Instagram tease really is about another GH appearance, would he once again be Morgan's spirit or will we find that the character has been alive all this time and Sonny only imagined his ghost last year?
