The Runarounds, a TV series which stars General Hospital’s William Lipton (Cameron Webber), is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
The series features members of Lipton and his real-life band as a group of high school classmates trying to make it big in the music business. The band previously appeared in the series The Outer Banks, which is set in the same universe.
General Hospital's William Lipton stars in The Runarounds

Lipton is the lead singer of the band, which has released two singles and a soundtrack to the series on streaming services.
He did an interview on CBS Mornings September 1st. He posted a picture of himself and several co-stars in Times Square, which had a billboard of the show.
“This is a dream project for myself and for the rest of the cast,” he said on CBS. “It’s a team effort and you always have people who have faith in you.”
Lipton said his character, Charlie Cooper, is passionate and doesn’t always think logically, but his intentions are pure.
“Charlie is a dreamer at his core. But he’s also young, so he has a lot of stuff to sort out along the way during the senior summer before real life start.”
Lipton has made several posts on his Instagram account about the show in recent weeks. One of the posts was about the Los Angeles premiere, which had General Hospital’s Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) as one of the supporters.
He said the show has been in the works for five years, since he was 17.
“Just short of 5 years since we all flew out to audition together in Charleston,” he wrote in part. “I remember very vividly being at the hotel in Charleston doing zoom school listening to a psychology class with my mom beside me. It felt so exciting embarking on this secret mission. I was so nervous and so totally stoked to meet these other kids hoping that we’d be able to get along and play some solid tunes. I could never have fathomed the amount of love I would have for them today. They’re now my brothers. Those dudes changed my life. … Along those 5 years the amount of friends and memories I have made could last me a lifetime. I am so beyond privileged to have been able to be a part of this whole thing I could’ve never dreamt of a better project to pour my heart into.”
Lipton has three Daytime Emmy nominations for General Hospital, two for Outstanding Younger Actor, and one for Outstanding Original Song, when he performed “North Star” at the General Hospital Nurses’ Ball in 2020.
The Runarounds also stars Nick Cafero as Chad Kendall. Cafero is the boyfriend of General Hospital star Kristen Vaganos (Molly Lansing-Davis).
Vaganos hyped the show in her Instagram Stories. She wrote, in part, “Nick is so unbelievably talented and is in multiple episodes of this show! It is the show of the summer (I know). He is so amazing!!”
Vaganos shared a clip of Cafero in the show from Episode 3, and said she cried the first time she watched it. She also shared video of the two of them watching the show together.
