On General Hospital, Braedyn Bruner, who stepped into the role of Emma Scorpio-Drake a year ago, is marking her first anniversary at the ABC soap opera with a social media post that isn’t just a milestone — it reads like a love letter to the show, the cast, and the fans who took her into their hearts instantly.

A Year of Emma, a Year of Growth

Braedyn Bruner wrote on Instagram, “1 year ago today, I stepped into the role of Emma Scorpio-Drake at General Hospital, and my life has been forever changed… Thank you guys for supporting me and loving this crazy, amazing, and legendary show. I can’t wait for everyone to see what the future has in store for her.”

She shared several behind-the-scenes photos and a couple of video clips as well. One shows her laughing with castmates, while another has her in that bold orange gown on the red carpet, with Finola Hughes (Anna) and Cameron Mathison (Drew). There’s a playful shot of her and Giovanni Mazza (Gio) standing back-to-back like soap-opera secret agents, and tucked in between all the glam is the heart-melter: Bailey the beagle, who plays Outback, giving Bruner the kind of devoted look only a set dog can manage.

The General Hospital star’s videos spotlighted Jane Elliot (Tracy), looking smarmy while Mathison gives his best Drew glare, and a hilarious moment where a horse trotted across the set. She even appeared in a pic with Kristina Wagner (Felicia), and both looked incredibly happy to be there. Other videos showed hilarity: one was from the scene where Emma was in a dumpster, and the other was one in which a crew member definitely did not want to be filmed.

Emma’s impact hits home

Her castmates flooded the comments with the kind of praise that doesn’t sound obligatory. Tanisha Harper (Jordan) wrote, “You are killin it as Emma! We are so happy you are here!” Wagner added, “It’s not easy being the new girl on the block. Your stamina is amazing, and so are you. Big hugs!” General Hospital’s Hughes, maternal to the bone, chimed in with, “Love you, Braedyn… cannot believe it is a whole year.” Mazza dropped, “You are sorta the coolest person I’ve ever met,” and Eden McCoy simply shouted across the internet, “LOVE U MAMAAAA.” Even The Bold and the Beautiful’s Crew Morrow (Will) slid in with a heart emoji.

The fan response wasn’t just enthusiastic — it was emotional. One long-time viewer wrote, “You were born to play Emma… congratulations!” Another said, “You made Emma your own — a shining star!” Someone else added, “You’re a perfect Emma. Can’t imagine GH without you.”

The themes kept circling: pride, excitement, and a lot of love for Emma and Gio as the show’s rising young duo. Fans called her “natural,” “a joy to watch,” and one supporter captured the general mood perfectly with, “We’re the lucky ones having you on our favorite show.”

One year in, Braedyn Bruner already feels like part of General Hospital’s heartbeat — and judging by the avalanche of support, Port Charles plans on keeping her around for a long, long time.

General Hospital can be seen weekdays on ABC and Hulu.
