On General Hospital, Carly's (Laura Wright) and Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) moratorium on being nemeses was destroyed when Carly told her that, because Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) couldn’t see how vile Drew (Cameron Mathison) was, she didn’t deserve her kids and didn’t deserve to be a mother. That caused Nina to slap Carly, and they broke out into a fight, dashing any fans' hopes that they'd become the next Port Charles dream team. Thankfully, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) entered at the last second and subdued Nina before she could smash Carly in the head with a knick-knack. Staging a fight like that requires some expertise, and the show revealed who made it possible.
Stuntwork makes the scene work
Two pictures were posted on the General Hospital official Instagram page, with the caption, “Nina and Carly's battle royale wouldn't have been possible without the expertise of stunt performers @bonomomoto (Carly) and Kara Smith (Nina). Please help us give them all a round of applause for making today's all-new #GH that much more dramatic. 👏👏👏 @watros.watros @welcometolaurasworld #BehindtheScenes #GeneralHospital.”
The first pic was of Watros and Wright standing with their stuntwomen, Kara Smith and Heather Leah Bonomo. The second was a hilariously staged shot of the four women with their dukes up, ready for a fight. The huge smirks on their faces said that they weren’t really fighting and were having a great time. The fans shared several applause emojis as the fight scene, while brief, was well executed.
The fans wanted more

While @megsy116 responded, “Love the slap!!” @paulinpville expressed perfectly what should have been done with the comment: “It needed to last longer. Like fight fight fight, cut to commercials, come back, and fight fight fight.” @pjmcmullen had a hilarious reply with, “Not enough hair pulling!🤪.” And @martimom50 wrote, “Was Great!!🙌🙌 [Great] work Ladies!!”
Nina and Carly were so caught up in the fight that they didn’t notice how Josslyn used a rear wrist lock on Nina to subdue her. Considering it’s a maneuver that’s often used in law enforcement, security, or even self-defense to control or restrain someone without hitting them, it’s clearly her WSB training coming into play.
It’s possible that Carly will later ask her daughter how she knew to do that to Nina, and Joss will probably come up with an excuse like, “I learned that in my college self-defence class.” The more she starts to use her new skills in Port Charles, the more stuntwork General Hospital’s going to need, and that’s okay with us!
