Despite telling Jason that she knows Rocco was never hers, General Hospital's Britt put on quite a show for Lulu when she announced she was just as much the teen's mother as Lulu, since she carried him and gave birth to him. Whether she was trying to make sure that Rocco stayed away from her to stay out of danger from 'C' or not remains to be seen, but Britt's actions showed that she still has an attachment to the young man whose embryo she stole.
Rocco's General Hospital origin story

Rocco recently learned that he was the result of Britt Westbourne stealing his parents' frozen embryo without their knowledge, but he doesn't know all the details. Rocco (Finn Carr) was born in quite a dramatic way, with Britt giving birth on the Wyndemere living room floor, similar to what Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) did nearly 10 years later.
Britt raised Rocco, whom she named Ben, at Wyndemere during his first year of life. She was romantically involved with Nikolas during that time, who had no ide that Ben was really his nephew because he was Lulu (then played by Emme Rylan) and Dante's (Dominic Zamprogna) child.
When Elizabeth learned and revealed the truth during Nikolas and Britt's engagement party, all hell broke loose, and Britt and Nikolas broke up.
Remembering Nikolas and Tyler Christopher

Thiebaud recalled the moments that led to the breakup, as well as the emotional scenes that played out after the truth was revealed. Thiebaud especially remembered the late Tyler Christopher's performance.
"Honestly, that whole scene at the engagement party, with Nikolas finding out … To this day, that’s one of my favorites," Thiebaud told Soap Opera Digest. "Tyler Christopher was so incredible, just on a regular basis, but in those particular scenes, he was so good. And I’ve watched it back several times, and every time, in my mind, it’s just a complete home run in the soap world. He is so good, the emotion is so high, I thought the writing was so great…It’s such a good memory for me."
The revelation that Ben was not Britt's and how the baby came to be spelled the end of Nikolas and Britt, which broke Spencer Cassadine's (then played by Nicholas Bechtel) heart. In the years that ensued, Britt hasn't spoken much about that time, but now that Rocco wants to know Britt, that's all changed.
