While it's true that General Hospital's Jason Morgan was the first person to spot Britt in a French airport, he only suspected it might be her. She walked by him so quickly that all he had was a feeling. But Josslyn? She just got an extended up close and personal look at a dead woman who is not so dead after all. It was only fitting that it was Josslyn who got the confirmation that Britt was indeed alive, and with good reason.
General Hospital's Britt 'dies' and Josslyn lies

When Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) threw that New Year's Eve birthday party for herself on The Haunted Star, her plan was to take off for parts unknown right after, so that her friends and loved ones wouldn't have to see her deteriorate before their eyes due to her Huntington's Disease diagnosis.
When she got to the pier, things changed. She saw "The Hook" (really Heather Webber) attacking Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and got in the way to help save Joss. During the struggle, Britt was nicked by Heather's (Alley Mills) poison hook, but didn't notice until she was back aboard the boat.
Britt returned to the Haunted Star because she had changed her mind and wanted to be with her mother. That's when she saw she had been nicked and suddenly had trouble breathing. She then "died" in Liesl's (Kathleen Gati) arms, while Josslyn fudged her story. It was Dex (Evan Hofer) who finally got Heather to run by shooting at her, but with an unregistered gun.
When Josslyn gave her statement to the police, she left out the Britt part of the story and told them nobody helped her, and she was able to get away from Heather on her own. At the time, fans were outraged that Joss didn't give Britt credit where credit was due, but now she has a chance to make up for that.
Josslyn's full circle moment

Josslyn's part in Britt's alleged death has never been truly explored. Liesl blamed Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) for her daughter's demise for convoluted reasons, but never knew that her daughter had saved a young girl's life while sacrificing her own.
The attack was not planned, so we doubt Britt was faking her own death. Something tells us there was a third party involved with Britt's rescue, but it was Josslyn who inadvertently got her into this mess.
It's only fitting that Josslyn be the one to help get her out of it. Britt has no idea that the college student she rescued that fateful night could now become the WSB agent who gets her away from whoever it is running her life.
