About Chick-fil-A

While Chick-fil-A officially began in 1962, the chain’s origin story starts in 1946 at the Dwarf Grill, opened by Chick-fil-A’s former CEO, S. Truett Cathy. However, fifteen years later, thanks to a pressure fryer, Cathy started Chick-fil-A, and the rest is history. They started with the chicken sandwich and it began an instant success across Atalanta. So much so, that by 1967, the sandwich was licensed to over fifty eateries but was soon withdrawn when the company started its own branch.

In the years since then, the franchise expanded rapidly, and as of 2023, the company has over 3000 outlets across North America, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Not only that, in 2023, the company announced that they have plans for further expansion into Europe and Asia alongside five other overseas markets by 2030. However, even with their current locations, the company is still valued at over $6 billion and reportedly did sales of $11.3 billion in the US alone in 2019.
