Details on Addison Rae’s upcoming album “Addison”
Addison would be Rae’s first studio project and is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025, via US-based record label Columbia Records. Preceding the album’s release, four songs, including Diet Pepsi, High Fashion, Headphones On, and Aquamarine, have already been dropped.
Chronologically, Diet Pepsi is the debut single from the album, which dropped on August 9, 2024, and is composed of two distinct pop sub-genres that include alternative pop and synth-pop.
The Pop single is a reflection of youthful love, painting a scenario of a girl who passionately adores her partner and appreciates the way he loves her for who she truly is. The first verse encapsulates the essence of the song:
“My boy’s a winner, he loves the game
My lips reflect off his cross gold chain like the way he’s telling me
My as*llooks good in these ripped blue jeans
My cheeks are red like cherries in the spring
Body’s a work of art you’d die to see”
The next song in the lineup is Aquamarine, which was released in October 2024, and would be the second track from the highly-anticipated album, Addison. The dance-pop single is centered around themes of self-discovery and self-worth. The refrain explains the concept:
“I’m dancing in my own reflection
I’m the ray of light
I'm transforming and realigning
I’ll take you with me, high, high, high, high.”
The R&B/Synth pop song, High Fashion, was released on Valentine’s Day, marking the songstress's official release of the year. High fashion conveys the message of an individual longing for fame and riches and not willing to settle for mediocrity. The ideology behind the song is expressed in the first verse:

“Have you ever dreamt of bein’ seen [Ah]
Not by someone, more like in a magazine
Wantin’ something more than just a hit [Ah]
Nothing else can make me feel like this”
Headphones On is the most recent release from the album, which dropped on April 18, 2025. The Trip-hop single is based on a theme of acceptance. The chorus reads:
“Guess I gotta accept the pain
Need a cigarette to make me feel better every good thing comes my way
So I still get dolled up.”
Referring to the title of the song, the post-chorus explains the therapeutic importance of listening to music via a headphone, as it serves as a form of escapism. The post-chorus goes:
“So I put my headphones on [I put my headphones on]
Listen to my favorite song [listen to my favorite song]
Soaking up the rain [Ah]
Letting out my headphones on
Come and put your headphones on.”
