aespa is set to release their latest mini album, Rich Man, this September on September 5, 2025. The album will be their first mini album since Whiplash, released in October 2024.
aespa talked about their career in a recent interview with AtStyle for their July 2025 ASEA 2025 Special Edition issue. The interview is here quoted via Seoulvibes article on the matter that was released on June 18, 2025. Group members talked about their expanding influences:
"Back then, we didn’t really notice any big shift. But thinking about it now, the spectrum of what we can challenge ourselves with has expanded so much."
Later on, in another part of the interview, the group talked about their next album, stating:
"There’s a track with a slower tempo this time. “It’s a style that allows us to focus more on details. We think this will let us show a different color, and we hope fans can feel it too."
In another interview with The Hollywood Reporter that was released on June 27, 2025, the group talked about their recent releases, with Winter responding to a question about feeling pressure due to the success of past releases:
"Of course, as much as we receive love from the public, I really do think that I need to feel pressure in a positive way. Rather than feeling pressure in a negative way, feeling it more heavily and [with] more weight, I think this should go in a positive way where we can give positive influence to our fans and to the public and give our messages that we want to send."
aespa consists of Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. The four were put together by SM Entertainment and started out in 2016, before debuting in late 2020. The group released their debut full-length album, Armageddon, in May 2024.
