Ashnikko debuted in 2021 with Demidevil. Then came WEEDKILLER in 2023. Two years later, she has officially dropped Smoochies. It is her second full-length studio album, which was released on October 17, 2025.

The North Carolina-born and London-based artist identifies as genderqueer and pansexual, and uses she/they pronouns. Ashnikko describes Smoochies as "Demidevil's older sister." She says:

"It's sexy, playful, and feminine, while toeing the line of grotesque and absurd. I feel like purse sediment so much of the time, like a mess of crumbs and gum in receipts and lipgloss that I have forgotten about, so the album feels like that too. This is the first where I have written very autobiographically, but at the core of it all is personal autonomy and joyful whimsy."

Below, we rank every track on Smoochies. Read on to get an insight into Ashnikko's latest album.

Ashnikko 'Smoochies': Every song ranked from best to worst

1. Trinkets

This is the crown jewel of Smoochies. "Trinkets" captures Ashnikko at her most conceptually sharp. The track is produced with Luka Kloser. The song's synths and beat feel like a sugar rush. It is chaotic and matches the candy-pink aesthetic of its video, which is directed by Léa Esmaili. Lyrics include:

"Am I just a bird? Am I just a crow?/ Looking for, something shiny for my nest? (Ah-ah-ah)/ I collect them all, trinkets, souvenirs/ Pretty princess boys, they're my found objects (Ah-ah-ah)"

2. Itty Bitty

The track kicked off the Smoochies era in March 2025. It was officially premiered during Ashnikko's opening sets for Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour. The track features a distorted bassline and cheeky lyrics. "Itty Bitty" is a playful track on the album. Notable lines include:

"I'm gettin' finger f**ked in the back of the club (How are you?)/ Me and my girlfriend just broke up (Woo)/ Itty bitty, teeny tiny, little s**tty skirt/ I tuck my lip-gloss in my boot, bi**h, I am here to work"

3. Wet Like (feat. COBRAH)

Swedish artist COBRAH joins the "Daisy" singer for this club-ready anthem. The chemistry and industrial synths in the track are electric. The song seems bold and unapologetically queer. Ashnikko sings:

"KiKi boots and I'm five-foot-seven/ I'm a giant in the club, fee-fi-fo-fum like/ High fem dom looking for a sub/ I'm a showgirl, take it all off in the floodlights"

4. I Want My Boyfriends to Kiss

In this track, the singer talks about sexuality and affection. An infectious and seemingly naughty song on Smoochies. Some of its lyrics are:

"I want my boyfriends to kiss, swap spit/ Lock lips, if you love me, prove it/ We can switch, call it a banana split"

5. Smoochie Girl

This one is the album’s opener. It comes with energy, grit, and hyper-feminine vibes. The production punch also comes hard in this track. Lyrics include:

"Oh, I love it when it feel like this/ Heart went a 7UP, soda pop fizz/ Love letter with a lipstick print/ Keep my wits by my bitch"

6. Full Frontal

‘Full Frontal’ is one of the album’s loudest and most provocative tracks. The track features a throbbing beat that channels an early 2000s pop vibe with an electronic side. Ashnikko sings:

"Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq/ I need to be perceived/ Fu**ing look at me, look at me, you f**k/ Smooth my brain out, finally wrinkle free"

7. She's So Pretty

The singer takes a melodic detour from the chaos of the rest of Smoochies. "She's So Pretty" offers softness. Ashnikko sings about admiration and attraction. This track depicts that she can also be vulnerable. Some of its lines are:

"She's so pretty, I'd die without her/ Kicking my feet, we talk for hours/ Each time I breathe (With her permission)/ Strawberry breeze, head-on collision"

8. Liquid

This track was premiered two days before the album dropped. "Liquid" features metaphors that signify fluid identity. Its synth textures are notable. This is one of Smoochies' sonically experimental tracks. Ashnikko sings:

"Flick, an actress, action scene/ Hands in his pockets and I'm grabbin' on his keys, uh"

9. Sticky Fingers

It sounds sweet and slightly sinister. The production feels glossy and warped. The vibe somehow feels a bit grimy. Notable lyrics include:

"I don't want no crumbs/ Nutcracker, I'm Tchaikovsky/ No hot Cheeto dust/ Wipe my hands, ugh, get off me"

10. Lip Smacker

Lip Smacker is more straightforward pop than most of the record. This track sounds like a throwback to Demidevil's hooks. The song is a fun one, but not a standout. Ashnikko sings:

"Pull my thread, honey, to come undone/ Tangled headphones/ Ooh, I bust out the big stun gun"

11. Baby Teeth

Baby Teeth is one of the more narrative-driven songs on the record. There is a hint of nostalgia here. However, the production keeps it from becoming too sweet. Lyrics include:

"Sometimes I go full delusion/ Dancing with phantoms again/ The body, it was turning blueish/ Carving a hole in my chest"

12. Skin Cleared

It is a relatively odd entry. The song features themes of body image, which feels relatable. However, the pacing falters midway. Ashnikko sings:

"My skin cleared when we broke up/ What does that mean?/ Now I'm back seat of the taxi"

13. Microplastics

A musically dense track. "Microplastics" has satirical themes related to self-degradation. The production overload of the track can feel overwhelming.

14. Chichinya

Chichinya is named after Ashnikko's dog. This track leans into absurdity. However, it is where the album starts to lose focus. It feels more like an interlude than a full song.

15. It Girl

It Girl closes out the album. It has a stripped-back beat and introspective lyrics that depict finding clarity amid the chaos. However, this one is not the flashiest track. Ashnikko sings:

"You could buy a whole world with a face like that/ I cried lookin' in my mom's makeup bag/ I'm hollowed out, I look good, treat me like termite wood/ Mother, daughter, daisy chain"
