Popular American rapper and songwriter Ice Spice addresses rumors that the view count for her latest music video, Badie Badie, has been artificially inflated.

The singer took to her official X account, formerly Twitter, to share a meme with the caption:

“somebody thought they ate buying views for me .. bby it’s chess, not checkers.”

The music video directed by the New York duo Evil Twins allegedly gained 6.7 million views within 10 hours. Despite the high number of views, the video only has 32,000 likes and 2 thousand comments, leading netizens to believe that botting was involved.

One tweeted:

“She did that with one of her other videos, too. Inflating it to make it look like she’s popping. When you have to resort to that, it’s over. And the nerve to say it’s not about success lmao btch gone on w that. Wonder why YouTube ain’t fixing it.”
